You could make the file a read only, but if that file has an update to be put into it, it will not receive it.
That could cause some issues.

Most of the time, the plane would be chocked, and not needing the parking brake.
Keeping the parking brake on for an extended period in any vehicle (including your car) can cause it to seize.
it is also difficult for the ground personnel to move the plane in case of need if parking breaks are ON and the plane is closed and sealed.

Speaking of RL lighting at airports I would suggest not flying into KDSM after dark. You can land ok but there are no taxiway lights…none.
I’ve sent a couple tickets in but nothing has happened so I’m hoping some scenery designer will tackle DSM and hopefully resolve the issue.
It’s my home airport but operating hours are really short in winter.
Would you apply brakes before removing chucks or just never use them unless holding somewhere?
If that’s the case, I’ll just turn the brakes off on my other airplanes so it’s consistent.
Yes, that’s what I do.
I turn the parking brake on when I get in the airplane.
