This is true for me. Back in the 80’s, I was turned on to flying by SubLogic’s C-64 version of Flight Simulator. I basically had 1 fps frame rate, yet I was still mesmerized at the prospect of flying. I started on my PPL a short time later.

I highly recommend mapping a key to the “Add Fuel” function in the Controls settings.

I’ve now mapped this to my HOTAS for easy additional fuel on the stand.
(more immersive than ‘magic fuel’, though it’s also there if I forget)
