Well “Outage” is a bit exaggerated as it only affects part of the Career Mode and some Parts have already been fixed after like 1.5 days (First Flights etc.), from my understanding only VIP Charter is still broken correct?
I bet they’re in meetings to decide to do a hotfix or wait and include the fix with next patch release.
2 certifications still missing, no heavy cargo missions, passenger transport always gives 0% aircraft condition, medium cargo runways too short, S&R mission in locations you can’t land, planes spawning on top or inside buildings leading to crashes and repair costs, random bugs that cause the mission to fail, etc. That’s just off the top of my head.

Well, we wouldn’t know what has been fixed and what is still broken because there has been no communication whatsoever, but I think it is significantly more broken than what you highlighted there.
It sounds like we are going on Day 6 with very few if any (I still see 0) VIP charter or light/medium cargo missions. Given that’s where about 90% of users are currently in their Career progression grind, I’d call that an outage…
If there is a workaround to populate C172 charter or 208 cargo missions, please post it here because we’d all love to know how.

Light Cargo is perfectly showing up and generating new missions for me, Medium I can‘t tell because I am currently grinding for a plane for it. But I see missions as employee in many places Round the world
And I only own a 172 in Europe for Career in Cargo currently.
First flight was definitely fixed because those missions were also missing here for many which stopped progress for everyone who started a new career, and they started to show up aagin after 1.5 days.
Ah, fair clarification. Employee missions have been hit or miss - my comments are regarding Freelancer which is completely dead in the water. And when Freelance missions easily net $150k+ per flight, not many of us are willing to “wait it out” while flying Employee missions for $2k.
For what it’s worth, I just refreshed my Employee missions to see and all I’ve got is 200 Ferry Flight missions for $1,800 a pop.
A lot of this is not an outage but other errors which should definitely also fixed, an Outage is for me something if the complete mode would be unplayable, and so far I‘ve had exactly one game related crash in a mission after maybe 100 flights in career?
It doesn’t only affect the VIP missions.
VIP, passenger, search and rescue, night missions don’t seem to exist anymore. For some there aren’t even cargo missions. That could very well be called an outage because some people can’t do anything…not to mention the remaining problems such as pointless missions where there is no way to land.
Light Cargo I am only flying in Freelance and not as an employee and have lots available everywhere.

I also probably wouldn’t call it an outage. But for a lot of people thay can’t play a lot of mission because of the bugs. You’re lucky if you only got 1 crash so far. Not all of us are that lucky. But we can all agree the career is not functioning as it should by a long shot.
You’ve been incredibly lucky.
My first mission flown freelance put me on a runway with an impossible t/o distance. Tried to abort and crashed.
I’ve had a mission where it started my Vision on a rooftop helipad.
I had a medevac mission where it told me to divert, I did it, followed the boxes, landed and was told I landed at the wrong airport and failed.
I’ve had a mission where the waypoint keeps flipping between the destination and the last on route marker, making it impossible to complete.
I’ve had countless missions fail because of ATC bugs preventing progress.
I’ve had my plane spawn in way above the ground and crash, putting the game in an infinate plane crashing loop.
I’ve tried to fly the higher power heles which have only 2 speeds. Nothing and 10000+ f/s up.
I’ve failed to capture a million glideslopes or RNAV approaches because even when set up correctly, the game just ignores it.
The game is a mess. And right now, I can’t even just do the only thing that worked and chill in my vision jet doing VIP missions.

Just in regards to the first two points:
Yes those missions should not be created from the game I agree, but starting a mission without checking start and landing airport is also for me a failure of the Pilot and easily avoidable. Preflight requires for me always check of weather and both airports, something everyone can easily do first on the worldmap with zooming in and than also in the EFB. I haven‘t seen such a mission so far, but I highly assume that those errors could be prevented with those small checks which takes only a few seconds.

To add to the conversation and the heap of “nonexistence”: I can do Flightseeing and light cargo (still on the light cargo lvl), but can’t ser SAR and Charter missions. Luckily they do seem to fly them in crew mode, so I get money from the planes in those companies. But I would very much like to fly my charter plane myself from time to timecto earn money with it.
I see many available flights in light cargo but none of them starts in employee mode, I did a first flight to test and it worked fine.
Can anyone else confirm light cargo (172) missions are back to normal on Freelancer? I am willing to sell my VIP 172 and buy a used Cargo 172 if it means I can fly but I don’t want to do all that and still see an empty missions map…
Yes, cargo missions (light and medium for me) are available in Freelancer. If you want to “check” a mission type you can look at Employee missions, if one is available here it will be in Freelancer as well.
After finishing a flight, suddenly 4 or 5 special VIP charter missions popped up for me. With the game actually panning the globe around and showing me each one. Is that a fix?
Special VIP missions show up from time to time.
But I just had a regular vip charter in europe show up, but after selecting I got popup that the mission is no longer available… so maybe they are doing somehting
