Yeah, it kind of spazzes out in the turbulence
Im using whatever the game is giving me + a little smoothing.
The"realistic" turbulence setting is kinda over done and i use medium.
Iāve used medium ever since we were able to adjust it ourselves but Iāve started considering going back to realistic. I was IRL flying a couple of days ago in a DA20 and the turbulence was so bad it made my hand push the throttle forward while descending. I did the same flight in the sim later and it felt silky smooth in comparison, like on rails.
Maybe the realistic setting isnāt so bad after all. However, I do find turbulence in the sim to be annoying and unless you have a motion rig it doesnāt really add much to the experience other than pain.
Ive increased the refresh rate on the wingflex from 60hz to 120hz
If there was a Realistic Extreme+ mode for turbulence, Iād use it. Iāve yet to experience turbulence in-sim thatās as bad as what Iād call āmoderateā IRL. Severe is a whole other story - it doesnāt exist in the sim
Would it be possible to share how you did that?
Did you find any improvement in wing flex by doing that?
thanks!
I just changed the refresh rate from 60 to 120 and halved the math.
the improvements are that the 1 frame impulses now have half the time to act and the dampening can react faster.
Is that in the model, or is it something in a config file that a user can edit?
custom stuffs in the xml
Ok, will try to find how to do that.
I donāt seem to be able to use VR zoom in this one, has it not been implemented?
Weāve added the collider as the documentation states, but itās not working for some reason.
We got the colider to work!!!
Also the plane will be on sale on orbx soon.
When microsoft has another sale we will ask for the 42 to be included.
New Update out on Orbx. Version 1.1.3
- Various flight model tweaks
- Fixed ECU failures caused by quick power changes
- ECU failures are now state saved
- Redone Turbocharger simulation
- Improved startup behaviour
- New Standby instrument physics
- Standby instruments now have unique inaccuracies per user

- Multiplayer prop improvements
- Added power lever calibration display to TDI
- Quality of life improvements and code optimisations
- VOR1 OBS commands get forwarded to VOR2 OBS and GPS OBS
- Added Navigraph to install folder
- Added list of failures to documentation folder
Update will be hitting the Marketplace later today according to post on discord.
Love the physics on the standby altimeter.
i cant stop staring at it aswell.
Had a great hour session in the VI(thanks for the tip on the gearbox oil Tommy ). I can say that power feels smoother, and Iāve noticed less floating and easier to lightly touch the mains down(I could just be flying better than I remember, I donāt knowā¦)
i didnt touch the ground effect, but i did tweak the stall a little.
Ok, so I must finally be doing something right on landings then, or just getting lucky.
Wow, since last update, wing flex animation looks amazing!!, great job!!. It is much more āelasticā and detailed, and look quite close to what the real aircraft wings would react.
