Darkstar from Top Gun Maverick or Equivalent

Simple question: Does FS24 have an max altitude ceiling?

If it’s the same 275,000 ft. like it was in FS20, I’ll be shocked if some 3rd party dev doesn’t have plans to make an aircraft that can reach it and fly Mach 10.

MSFS 2024 goes much higher. Well above the Karman line into true low earth orbit. There should be opportunity to explore. Would be cool to see a Falcon 9 or even a fictitious Dune spacecraft.

We have the Flying Fries Quasar now, it might not be as fast, but no procedure diddling, just floor it, with a lovely view in and out the cockpit. Enjoy!

Thanks. I didn’t mind the Darkstar procedure diddling, once I got the hang of how it worked. Mach 7.8 is close enough to Mach 10. How do you find the landing?

How i found the landing, well, rewarding when nailed, nailbiting when on a shorter runway, or a flare that was too long… because the brick still has to stop

I usually point the pickle to the start of the runway, keep it at 240 knots, engage F.A.C.T. (no flaps, but that handle is attached to the flaps) and just slam it down on the runway how hard or gentle you’d like to do… just never let it drop below 200 knots at any angle of attack, as soon as you pull, you will stall… it’s not an airliner. Then as it’s on the runway, i apply full brakes and keep them full, whilst i restart engine one for gentle taxiing… 4 engine taxi or landing is a nono… so learn to start up the engines manually, it’s rewarding and requires a bit of a flow to understand.

Hope it helps.
