Yeah, I suspect that too. Like career mode almost always triggers that issue with my 12 GB 4070 Ti.
I really hope they make that warning message somehow intelligent, recommending what settings to adjust, or adding it to the Auto FPS feature.

I agree 100%. I probably shouldnât have commented earlier before watching the stream, but now that Iâve watched it I think they did a very solid job of trying to explain where things stand and why. Of course, not every possible question was answered, nor could it be. But they obviously take overall feedback and concerns seriously, and as you said, very personally on Jorgâs part. It was uncomfortable to see him seeming so drained. Heâs normally such a great cheerleader not only for the amazing products theyâve created, but also for aviation in general. I donât want to see him lose that enthusiasm.
And itâs just how amazing FS 2024 is when itâs at its best that makes the times when it stumbles so frustrating. I can see the enormous potential there, and just want to realize that potential more consistently. I think theyâll get there, but after listening to this stream it boggles my mind a little to realize just how vast the planned scope of 2024 is compared to 2020. They were incredibly ambitious with 2024, but obviously (in hindsight) needed more development time to solidify that vision.
My completely uninformed wild speculation is that Microsoftâs marketing folks pushed them to release it before it was ready, especially because of the â2024â in the title.
As Jorg said, the launch was bad, but that should be behind us now. Even with the numerous issues that remain to be addressed, they still have a lot to be proud of in what they have achieved so far with 2024. No one else has tried to create such a comprehensive and detailed simulation of every aspect of flying an aircraft. Flight Simulator has always been a community-driven project that grew and improved over time. Now more than ever is the time to bring that community together to make FS 2024 the best it can be.
No criticism intended. Infact my point was that MS should have made some early adopter arrangements for users as yourself as your constructive feedback would be valuable to them far betond a Beta test. But early adopters of complicated computer software need to be realistic about their expectations. It is as it is.
Means nothing if thise free planes are as disappointing as the pc24 and the Max.
Thats not correct the modern Airbus helicopters have an auto trim system that can hold current attitudes but the pilot is supposed to temp disable this every time an adjustment needs to be made to stop the pilot fighting against the trim system, in effect constant inputs do need to be made though with those its a lot lot easier. Hovering is usually done with the trim system deactivated unless using auto hover which is used in specialist scenarios.
The H125/AS350 was NOT NOT NOT nicknamed by pilots âsquirrelâ due to being twitchy itâs the name AĂ©rospatiale gave it (They gave a lot of helicopters odd names) âĂcureuilâ and encompasses the Ăcureuil family the AS350/H125, AS355 twin squirrel and H130
Later versions of these aircraft also used Airbusâs AFCS and autopilot systems ( same as your H145 and 160)
Hey, some of us happen to like 1930s aircraft
The problem, ive purchased still well over a year ago and because theres no itemized recipient how can i show proof of purchase. I dont know which is which because its not itemized.
I can certainly agree on the turbulence in Career mode, and the mouse issue. Hard to believe they actually made the mouse worse than in 2020. The negative mouse acceleration is much more aggressive, and I can easily move my mouse across my entire desk without my view changing at all. 4+ years later, and we are going backwards.
You need to screenshot your Inibuild scenery in the MSFS library together with your Gamertag shown on screen.
The MS store is pretty bad with itâs credits system and poor receipt description. Should be illegal to run a store like that in my opinion.
Agreed. It does annoy me that when I purchase something from the MS Store, all it tells me is that Iâve purchased x amount of credits without detailing what I spent the credits on.
When I purchase something from the PS store it tells me exactly what I purchased.
XBOX vs PC. There is no âvsâ. They are both PCs. The same non-distinction is true of users. I fly airliners for my day job. I compete casually (VERY casually!) in the Advanced category in my Pitts S1S. I fly helicopters for pleasure and am in the process of building one. I take my flying seriously and enjoy it immensely. Yet I CHOOSE to sim with my xbox, proudly. I simply no longer wish to sit at a desk hunched over a programmable HOTAS setup. AND believe it or not I flat love flying with an xbox controller. It takes me back to my RC days. A good controller (MS Elite in my case) is just as accurate as a moderately priced hall-effect sensing joystick. The advantage the controller brings over the stick is I can use it from the couch, the floor, standing, lying down, whatever. Itâs a legit great way to fly.
This is all to say that we should fly how we want to fly and use the platform which best lets us do so. Now, forget whether or not magnetic Force Trim Release exists in simulated Robinsons and Guimbals and admit instead that MS/Asoboâs decision to include that unrealistic feature was a solid decision. It brings accurate flight of these machines to the masses, like me! And while youâre at it, Asobo, please make the same unrealistic allowance for the H125. An entire side of your Career mode depends on it.
Some kind of early access would have been a boon. It would have reframed the launch and gained support for resolving issues rather than the disappointment that arrived. Either way, we are where we are.
Are they still working on the Library issues? The sorting? Missing planes, etc? Is there an ongoing status for this issue?
The stream is available to watch on Twitch. Iâd advise watching it as it was interesting to say the least. Itâll soon be on the MSFS official YouTube channel too.
I didnât quite understand the rolling cache discussion in the dev stream, was he basically saying increase it to whatever you like if you want to save on bandwidth?
I might try 128gb as I have plenty of space on my xbox storage, fs2024 is the only game I have installed.
Thatâs correct, you can decrease your cloud streaming by increasing the cache, but you canât eliminate all cloud streaming.
Absolutely. So when are the new aerials coming? No comment.
Will try 128gb then, is it the case that we canât disable/delete the cache now though unless we delete our reserved space?
I recently upped my RC from 32 to 64 on Series X and it made no performance difference, so Romo, you are probably just fine with 32 for now. Cheers!
I tried 128 and it didnât make any difference from 64 or 32 for me
