No choice? I thought the instructions said I had to go to MS Store then click on the update, then fire up the sim for the update to work. You mean all I have to do is fire up the sim and the update loads. I purchased this through MS Store, no Steam. Matter?
yep closing all windows fixes it like cmera etc
Same i purchased through store. Actually to be honest I didnt even try to fire up the sim before updating as I had just completed a 16 hour flight within the sim. So I guess I shouldâve tried to see if we (MS store customers) have a choice. Regardless i was able to download from the store then launched the sim and updated flawlessly. Now Iâm performing a quick 1 hour flight with the 787, its seems smoother as well
Excellent. Seems so many posts saying the patch hosed up there once-fine system.
yes I read those as well, I was a bit apprehensive but I figured oh well, if something goes wrong Iâd have to wait for a fix or contact support but luckily it was great and I think its mainly the steam customers, if Iâm not mistaken, who had issues
Simionic is working for me but Iâm having terrible wobbling and often complete loss of control as the simulator ap fights with simionic. Am I doing something wrong?
often you have to restart steam
barometric pressure is also not accurate
They didnt solve nothing. I still have problems in installing
Did you uninstall correctly removing all the files before installing again?
Yes remooved all from the app folder
Patch works fine for me and installed easily. I have a very simple setup with just an added flight stick and a few simple keybindings. The patch was automatically downloaded from the Microsoft Store as part of the daily updates. No action required by me except launching MSFS after Store updates finished.
The main thing Iâve found so far is that the sim loads a lot faster than it used to. Itâs worth getting the patch just for that alone, IMHO.
Relative to sizes, paradoxically, the download from the Microsoft Store was listed in the progress tracker as 323 Mb but when the update was launched from within the sim it showed 87.06 KiB to be installed? (maybe I wasnât reading the store progress correctly?).
Before the update when the XBox controller reconnected, the game closed.
Now when the controller reconnects, the game freezes for several seconds.
Prior to the update the game was playing great. There was no lag, all view movement and camera movement was almost real time and the game was realistic.
I installed the update today and the game is not unplayable. There is about a 1 second lag from the time a command is entered (via XBox Controller or keyboard), time seems to have slowed down, and the game is no longer realistic.
I made no changes besides installing the update.
The game is being run from Microsoft Store.
Any help would be great.
Thank you.
The patch applied correctly no specific issues apart old ones I have to report through a ticket,
however I get the header âWelcome, set your experienceâ displayed each time I launch FS without going to settings on its own after this, as it has already being performed just after the patch was applied.
Though this is non blocking, does anyone get the same behavior ?
Nothing changed. Still will not run. CTD.
After the âWelcome, set your experienceâ display, I go straight to the choices of World Map, Courchlevel, Flight Training, Activities, News/Welcome as I always have. If I want to go to Settings, Iâve always had to and still do have to pick OPTIONS from the top left menu bar. The one thing thatâs changed is I had turned off the âShow Opening Animationsâ option on loading and that seems to have come back. I havenât tried the Dev launcher in the SDK to see what happens there yet and if it still works as it did in the initial release.
Edit_Update: I would also say, perhaps prematurely, that flight stick movements with my controller are A LOT SMOOTHER. The plane (Icon A5) does not lurch as much as it did, move as extremely as it was wont, and generally flies a lot smoother. Just a guesstimate but using the DEV mode FPS rate tracker, I think Iâve gained about 4 to 5 fps, from 49ish to the Mann Gulch, MO region to 54ish, 55ish running on LOD 200 and Object Detail 200 with essentially all other Ultra settings and a 100 Render scale, i9-9900K 32 GB 2666, RTX 2070S 8 Gb, 1 Tb EVO Plus NVMe. Perhaps itâs all a placebo effect, i.e., got the update, things have to be betterâŠ
On security, Iâm only running Windows Defender.
Pin the Flight Simulator Icon to Windows 10 Start menu, right-click on this Flight Simulator icon, click on More / App settings
We get 3 successive options : Repair / Reset / Uninstall
Try one at a time only then check again and if this didnât solve go to the next option until Uninstall which will force the whole initial download step. Perform this in last stage only and indeed only if the previous steps hadnât fixed the situation
Thanks for replying. Tried it. No luck. Same errors as before the patch. I just re-installed for the 10th time.
