Yes, they are missing their City icon. Also some new airports are missing their āStarā Handcrafted Airport icon.

Some of it is the lack of server resources to handle playing during an update. Doesnāt help that the update this round was HUGE. 100g in total for me on the Delux version (~65 @ startup, then another 30+ from the content manager)
I spent over 5 hours just downloading the update on a 300mb connection. Also getting ālack of bwā errors occasionally when attempting to play. I think this might be part of the horrific performance Iām getting now. Stutters are really really bad nowā¦ stable frame rates saw a 20% hit easy on DX11 same settings.
I havenāt tried re-setting my graphics to find the sweet spot, which seems to be something required of every update now.
To busy tring to get Track IR to work, and get my Honeycomb yoke and throttle quad to work after this āupdateāā¦

Got everything back to normal again, trackir works, the data bandwidth is also working as it should so Iām impressedā¦

This is just sad. There is no other way to put it. This was supposed to be a celebration of whats this sim has become over the past 1+ year. As the devs themselves said, a thank you to the community. And what do we get:
- a new broken live weather system
- missing gust winds in live weather near airports still not fixed since SU5
- broken VR
- other new more or less minor bugs
I understand that this is a complex piece of software. But poor quality control over updates keeps on repeating update after update.
Itās just sad.

Just wondering is the Working Title CJ4 and the Fly By Wire A320 Neo working with this update I am having problems with both?

SU7 isnāt very good. Among others:
- performance worse than before (3090)
- trackIR off-bug
- WX change too rapid. Shallow fog everywhere?
Mistaken AGL from metar to MSLā¦? - assistance etc keeps turn on every time I launch(yes, I applied save)
- New A/C are not good - Porter flight model is an absolute joke. Try stalling in itā¦it wont. Can fly at 35kts 30degree AoA with 0 throttle. Rudder? Trim indicator? Nonono. Volocopter? No interest in it, sry. F18 - flies just as well with wings folded. Feels sluggish as a tub. NX Cub with giraffe legs. Way too high. Front wheel doesnt even rotate.
- Replay? No. Not in this state. Not easy to use at all.
- DX12. You have 1000s of volunteering beta testers. No need to push it out at this stage.
- AI traffic still a joke - both off-/online.
- Airport lights disappearing as you approach them
etc etc
Please fix existing major gamebraking bugs before you introduce new ones. Tnx.

A320FBW is not working. There are problems with loading/entering flight plans. For now there is an advise to use experimental version of A320 FBW.

Yes, those sound like simple issues. But thatās the problem. Most of the issues with this VR Controller implementation are very simple, we could figure out whatās wrong in 15 minutes. Anyone who tries to fly in a mult-engine aircraft once can see whatās wrong. XPlane has a simple approach: if you grab the central point between the levers, it moves both, if you grab a single lever - you can adjust them individually. Not ideal (because you can miss the center and accidentally move a single lever) but it works and itās simple to do. But somehow they missed it.
Doing haptic feedback on click is simple, but they missed it.
Rotating in finer increments is simple, but they missed it.
Clicking on the menu icons is so simple, thereās nothing simpler than that - and they missed it.
Itās as if nobody plans any VR programming, nobody does QA and nobody implements any fixes. Their VR approach motto is āWhatever!ā, it seemsā¦
If you think 5 minutes you can plan all those features as mandatory for release. It takes a while to program right, of course, but they have resources incomparable to small X-Plain company, who did it right in 2017! This shows poor planning, poor execution and non-existing QA. I like Asobo very much, they have done a beautiful job with MSFS in general, but come on, they should be better than that!

Just noticed 12.9 I still had 12.8
Iām trying an IFR flight today, first issue before departure, canāt set the departure runway anymore. Clicking on Runway 09 doesnāt do anything.
Same for the approach, canāt change my approach either.
Using FBW A32NX Dev version 0.7.2 or so I though, there was an update.
Quit sim, updated the A32NX, then waited 15 minutes for the flight to load again. Server issue I think, it happened last update as well. Exremely long loading times. FS2020 is downloading stuff at 3 KB/sā¦ I guess Iām connected to the 56K modem today.
After it finally launched, click fly now and I get the autopilot disconnect sound while the plane isnāt even turned on yet. But I can set the departure runway. Sorry folks for the extra half hour delay, weāre back on track for departure.
its a joke. keep losing mouse curser. 747-8 FMC is a mess. Really frustrated with this game and update. issue after issue.
Yea, i recognize your disappointment though donāt be so harsh with them. Im professional software engineer myself, even though we have higher standards but on the other hand this is a video game, not a banking software and not the tesla autopilot. Of course they have low QA standards. Proper QA can be quite expensive. Cannot be financed with selling video games probably.
On the other hand looking at the massive change log once a month it is quite impressive work they deliver. You canāt say they are not working. Its just a complex piece of software involving so many things to care of, yes the tasks need to be priorized. Obviously they didnāt priorize the VR controls high. Maybe some trainee developed it alone in the corner.
After SU7 many sudden system reboots caused by FS2020. My Power Supply is sufficient with 800W. Seems this Update is causing stability issues at least on my rig. I wish Asobo stops those many updatesā¦ Instead a well tested update perhaps once a year would be preferable.
