Maybe we’ll get a story-driven DLC at some point that explains what started the apocalypse.

Had a file get “stuck” during the install at about 99% downloaded - I had gotten a total of 1.79GB with no issues at all until that point. I opened up a network monitor and could see I was getting a single little burst of data about every 40 - 50 seconds but nothing continuous and the file never seemed to complete. Finally after 10 minutes or so, I killed the sim, then restarted it. After that, the problematic file finished instantly and the remaining ~118MB of the base update completed as normal.
Following that, “Get and Install” of World Update VII via the Marketplace went perfectly fine, as did updates from the Content Manager. I flew in various parts of the world afterwards, including several of the new Australian airports and POIs. Scenery was excellent and performance was about as normal for me (40 - 65 fps depending on weather and complexity of scenery).
Is YSSY (Asobo Version) now having the old Super Constellation from the Picture or is that another Airport?

In principle, this update seems to be all right and I don’t see anything damaged.
The only thing, and it happened to me before, is that in each take-off in the race along the runway, you notice some small jumps, jerks that seem to load the stage with jumps.
Once in the air everything is perfect.
Nope, you right. I just discovered that I forget to download the WU in Marketplace. I downloaded all the updates in the Content Manager, but I forgot to look in Marketplace. My BAD!Thanks!

This has been a major issue for ages and im not sure why it isn’t higher priority on the bugs list. Whats the point of photogrammetry if it looks like that? London is especially bad.
hell, after the last two mandatory updates, the stuttering party is back

espacially in cruise level after a while flying with locked 30 frames and vsync on (don´t aks, for my system best results), frames drops round about 30 % … ahhhrgggggggg
By the way, does anyone have a solution to avoid the frame drop when opening or undocking a window (for example MCDU) ?! I also have a loss of round about 30 % …

The main point of photogrammetry in the Sim is to have a recognizable skyline and buildings from higher alittudes. And in my opinion photogrammetry still feels more natural and realistic than some simplified cartoony looking landmarks that comes from some of the developers.

Great world update but i prefer photogrametry turned off for the best overall look.

Thats ok if you are flying at high altitudes but those that fly in the smaller planes can see all the problems first hand.
I mean I get it, its not like im going to zoom around at street level. Could it be its application? I have a very fast connection but that doesn’t seem to matter much.
My update crashed on install - making the simulator unable to run. Resorted to a full reinstall, same thing happened twice. I have no simulator until this is resolved.
One more question I got about the update - why were there no procedural buildings for Australia in this update? Administrative buildings may look alike all around the world but Australian residential houses are still somehwat different from a typical American or European houses.

8:50 Eastern Time and I don’t see the WU7 in the marketplace.
I’ve gone into content manager and retrieved all available updates but NO WU7…
The rest of the update went very quickly (as many have noted).
I shut down and restarted - still nothing in the marketplace.
Any ideas.
Yeah that ain’t a sale though, it’s just the normal bundle price and it’s been marked as ‘on sale’ since they released it because it is cheaper than buying every single plane individually but no one in their right mind is gonna actually do that. Just a scummy marketing move.
For some reason, I recall getting them directly from the content manager in the past. I also don’t typically install the world updates for regions I don’t fly, don’t need to take up the HDD space and load times.

After 3 restarts - the WU7 is now in the marketplace for me.
Installed and tested - working ok so far.
the world update will not download, and I get this message:
some dependencies are missing or not installed : (VL-3 not installed)
anybody know what this means? I have no idea…
The VL-3 is an aircraft that’s part of the core sim. You can certainly uninstall it, but maybe the WU needs that plane to be installed in order to install the WU??
