I think I know why now.
I thought they was updating the sim a different way cos first start up it didn’t do the normal update screen before reaching main menu, but it said it was the latest version just released.

Now restarted it’s doing the update now.

Great to see so many changes in the log. Really appreciate the work of Asobo and MS! Downloading right now at 40 Mbits/s unfortunately but I am patient.

Does anybody know if the 10 degree heading bug is solved already?

ORIGINAL POST EDITED AND SUPERSEDED BY THE CHANGE BELOW:

Interestingly, the Bing Data stream was off, photogrammetry was on, and a notice in content manager that the download of USA data had failed. I redid the download and changed the Bing Data stream to on, and now after re-downloading, with Bing data stream on, all is back to where it was. Nashville isn’t any better as far as I can tell, but it is ok. Not sure whether my fix was Bing Data on or re-doing the download.

[OLD POST: Well, the flying seems to be a better now, and my fps appears to be improved a bit. BUT, unfortunately, the new photogrammetry in some areas that I know well has now beome really awful. Nashville for one. I live there, and have been flying around a lot, and it looked pretty good. Not hand crafted but ok. Now, however, it looks like some generic scenery. ]

So far this update is pretty remarkable. There is a very noticeable increase in visual quality and smoothness so far tested in the Chicagoland area.

I think I confirmed that, will check. I’ll also see if there is anything left to download. Hopefully just some problems like that.

And same as with me. I grabbed that livery as soon as I saw it. I don’t really fly airliners, but when I do, it’s the 747 and it has that livery.

Also check to see if overall graphics settings have been reverted. The last few updates have consistently been setting me to some Custom setting around Medium for some reason, but photogrammetry has never been disabled.

The update completely broke live weather in the US for me. It was working just fine before the update. Now, clear skies. regardless of the conditions. Also, the terrain/photogrammetry around Columbus, Ohio looks no different. Still have the terrain issues and huge waterfalls with rivers. Also, the “are you sure you want to exit” is now insanely stretched across my screen and in a different resolution than my monitor.
