You ran out of VRAM, the GPU driver is swapping between VRAM and RAM. In that condition it’s heavily bottlenecked by PCIe and system RAM bandwidth.

Even 8gb VRAM is not enough especially running heavy addons like payware airports @1440p. I find DX12 runs smoother than DX11 as long I’m under 8gb.8gb is like the new 4gb.
My 2060super doesn’t have VRAM for WQHD even with DLSS. Lowering to 2560x1080 I’m above 7gb.For now I’m sticking with DX11 until it’s out of Beta.
