The hard truth is, if you don’t like the Beta, you only have the choice of going back to stable and consider it having poor performance and have to wait for an update to stable.
This update is coming. It is in the works. It will not come faster just because people call it trash or betrayal.
I really can’t agree with you OP. I was flying .13 for hours upon hours yesterday and it was peachy. I feel that MSFS 2024 is really starting to change for the better. I’m not saying that bugs don’t exist however the ones that do don’t prevent me from using the current Beta build.
Then you’re not doing Beta builds correctly. Sorry mate. That’s no excuse.
You can even have a “Known Issues” title that could highlight these sorts of issues. While Beta opt-ins aren’t necessarily a two-way street, I think a decent level of effort/accountability is expected. If not, I don’t get why it’s such an issue for some when the developer gets (hopefully) constructive criticism.
Do you seriously expect them to load into the sim on each build and check every single airport world wide if every single jetway is connected? Really? Please elaborate how that would work. No, please, do it yourself. Set a timer and report back how many there are and how long it took you to check them, I’m curious.
If you really want to help mitigating that issue, report the ones you find. Guess that’s a “decent level of effort” we can expect, right?
I completely agree with what Dustoff2002 said. The SU2 version originally had excellent performance, but we were forced to update to SU3. After upgrading, it became clear that SU2 was actually the better version. Because the game requires a mandatory update, the SU3 version is practically unusable, so we had no choice but to try the SU4 beta instead. No one wants to go back to SU3. If possible, I believe many players would choose to return to the SU2 version. Also, could Microsoft consider removing the mandatory updates or allowing players to roll back to older versions?
Ok I did programing on alittle game I made. Whe theres a beta build to fix bugs sometimes there is a build that seems to reverse the fixes it happens when you try to fix one thing so you open the coding up entirely to try to trace and fix problems in recent build that a bug from previous builds could be causing the new ones . Im sure they are tracing where the code glitches by looking into all the previous things that were fixed to fix the newest bugs im sure it will return to normal that my take on it if it makes any sense to yall
Yes, that first SU4 beta release had excellent performance. Management must have decided we couldn’t be having too much of that , so they nerfed it just two days later. It would be nice to see it back again.
I think Asobo is testing different optimization scenarios in different versions and in the end the best tracks will be retained and combined in the same version. We hope in any case…
