I just downloaded 1GB from the Store as an update.
You can always UNINSTALL the aircraft packages CLEANLY, using Profile-Content Manager in the Sim.
Filter on Installed using the Left-hand menu and scroll through looking for aircraft packages. Checkmark them, and youāll have an Uninstall Button active on the bottom of the screen.
i have restored the unedited cfg files and now i am updating. hooefully everything works (ā¢āæā¢)
Iām totally confused, is this for all ? Or people that messed with the configs? Canāt these procedures be more understanding in the way they were written?
The caution is ONLY for users who manually edited the configuration files after the flaps issue was discovered post World Update 3 push.
Ok thanks , the way that Asobo words things is very confusing sometimes.
Use Content Manager to cleanly UNINSTALL the aircraft packages, BUT:
C152 and TBM930 folders remain. So you will need to manually delete those by hand if you edited the config files, even though Content Manager shows you have NO planes installed.
I made no manual changes, and the update consisted of only the 1GB update from the MS Store. No additional download was needed as the sim launched. Will try the un-modded TBM after work.
Good!

As expected, the 1.3GB push updates two aircraft - the same base ones that come regardless of which version Sim you purchased (Standard/Deluxe/Premium): the C152 and the TBM930.
Since I removed all other planes using Content Manager prior to pulling down the Hotfix, Iāll go back in there now and add back the planes in my inventory.
Sounds like the hotfix only reverts the flaps code to how it was before.
That would explain why thereās no content update inside the game and those who edited the configs have to manually delete the packages to force redownloading the originals.
Manual changed the KA350. When i have to do a reinstall, i have to backup camera settings file and restore it i assume?
one gigabyte
The update corrects all planes in the sim, which were affected by
the update error weeks ago! Not only two aircrafts!!!
Nevertheless why is this update that big???
Any ideas? OR, any explanations from MS/ASOBO ???

Please backread. The two packages for the C152 and the TBM930 are approximately 1GB.Those are the base planes that come with any version of the sim (Standard, Deluxe, Premium). Thatās what got updated in the pulldown. For all other planes, if youāre in doubt, delete from Content Manager and pull down, but it shouldnāt be necessary unless you manually edited the flaps files while awaiting the hotfix.
There is a release update for this version in the news section. It also improves geometry in Portsmouth for instanceā¦
Steam only had a ~300MB update, nothing else got updated
I got the update message when starting the sim, not knowing there was a hotfix. While MS Store began downloading the 1 GB update I read that I had to delete the manually changed packages and decided to cancel the download and do this first.
Now this seems to have uninstalled my complete simulator and I will have to downlaod 130 GB again. How can that be?
Please utilize the official discussion thread for this Hotfix here: Discussion: March 2nd Hotfix [1.13.17.0] - Community / General Discussion - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums so that we can keep everything tidy. Thanks!!
