Hmm, just checked the POH, I was wrong, it is meant to be flown solo from the rear seat, though, I have read it can be flown from the front seat. I’m not sure where I read it was meant to be flown from the front seat. Perhaps I’m thinking of the Rocket armed versions? Or maybe the L-4A which had a radio in the rear. I’ll keep looking for my source of my original comment…
There’s a spotter variant included in this pack with the radio in the back so I suppose the pilot would have to be up front for that.
Yes, but I swear I saw someplace that the L-4 was flown from the front seat solo… According to the L-4A/B POH I am wrong… and the L-4H/J models are essentially upgraded heavier B’s without the radio, so they’re not likely candidates either (I have an L-4H/J POH someplace, but, I’m not home right now).
Anecdotally, with an observer, the pilot sat in the front and the observer often was in the rear facing backwards accessing a desk and other equipment. I have not seen any photos confirming this rear facing observer though.
No idea about solo but presumably it would cause balance issues unless you added some weight to the rear position.
Definitely pilot up front when two up.
A good prospective livery would be Eisenhower’s L-4, complete with 4 Stars to indicate a "General on board’ ( Dwight D. Eisenhower was a licenced private pilot as was George S. Patton) .
When on the ground taxiing, and I cut the throttle to 0, the engine dies and I have to restart the engine. Also, when in the air, the ATC window gives a message, that I have no comm and need to switch on the electricity.
Anyone else had these issues? And how to solve those.
anyone here have both the Grasshopper and the BT Studio J3C Cub? curious to know if there’s a difference between the two aside from the liveries (and floats).
Dunno about the radios as I never even bothered trying to use them as I generally don’t bother with ATC in the sim and also there’s no actual radio modelled in the plane (aside from the observer radio in the back on that variant I guess) so can’t help you there but I do also get the low RPM engine cut out. I guess IRL you wouldn’t run the engine down so low anyway as you risk fouling the spark plugs (i think) so just pretend it’s doing that
Thanks, well I guess you’re right. So, I’ll keep an eye on the rpm’s.
Feels and looks much like an FSX import to me… Flight dynamics need a good tweaking too. Probably should have saved my money. Nevermind.
Well she ain’t the best looker in the class and could do with some improvements but I disagree on the flight handling. I think it handles quite nice and feels quite unique. Never flown one IRL though so that’s just like my opinion, man. Sorry if didn’t work out for you.
Eight year olds dude.
Can you upload the files you changed to do this? Thanks!
I already did, they’re part of the download, all I did was this:
To alias the sound, simply open each of the Aircraft.cfg files and edit the entries where it says Sound="" by changing it to Sound="…\Asobo_C152\sound"
Just uploaded three more paints:

Top photo is actually an L-5 Sentinal. (AFAIK
)
Is it something I’m overlooking, or is the elevator trim reversed on the L-4?
Flight Replicas has a much better flight model. BT Cub has the same issue as their Kitfox – too hard to bleed speed on approach.
Flight dynamics are solid, and there’s not more detail on REAL Cubs. I’m starting to wonder if someone has created a set of bots that just post a variation on this complaint for every new aircraft release…
lol … are you suggesting the forums have been infiltrated by XPlane users trying to sabotage MSFS sales ?
No. Same issue as with Milviz’ Corsair. Might need to create a second input profile just for those.
I saw today that this was updated in the Marketplace, but does anyone know whether or not it was updated anywhere else? I never got an email notification, and I bought it directly from Flight Replicas. When I accessed my original download link, it has expired
I emailed them, but no response yet.
