Flights logged dropped from logbook

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
Yes - only one of my four performance test flights from KEMT to F70 was recorded in the logbook on March 27th.
[Edit] Another flight this evening not recorded in v1.4.9.0]

Last flight recorded: An additional 5 flights have been flown since this then:

So NONE of my flights in SU2 have been logged to date.

I’m missing all flights from 03/27-03/29, so I was surprised to see yesterday’s flights show up:

Dev mode was off, so that does not explain the four missing flights. Another MSFS mystery!

Mixed bag here. The flight I made this morning logged, but is now gone. The flight I just made is logged. Neither in Dev Mode. As a new PC pilot, I did not realize that checking FPS in Dev Mode would result in the flight not being logged, but not all of my flights in SU2 have been in Dev Mode checking FPS. So it’s a thing despite my learning curve LOL!

Something is definitely deleting flights from my logbook.
I noticed today after my final flight in v1.4.9.0 that my flights from yesterday (04/01) from EFHK to ESSB and from SJNC to SJMH had been deleted.

This is the logbook from today after completing my last flight from SJMH to SBUW:

I then updated to v1.4.10.0 without issue from within the Xbox app, then started MSFS, again without issue.

This is what the logbook now shows immediatley after reaching the home World page & navigating to the logbook:

Notice my flight total has dropped by one, and today’s flight (04/02) from SJMH to SBUW has gone!

It appears to be deleting the most recent flight in the logbook. Just completed a flight from LICC to LMML. Notice that now both my flights on 04/01 and 04/02 are missing…

And again - the last flight is deleted:

Just noticed this in v1.4.11.0 (I only just joined the beta). Today’s flight was in the logbook just after completing it, but after the sim was restarted it had gone. The flight was recorded correctly in both Volanta and LNM.

Also, can someone explain why the total hours on the Overview tab differs from that in the Log?

I had this as well today on the beta. 3 flights and none recorded in logbook after a restart. Xbox series X

Disappearing log entries seems to be worse in 1.4.12. Three flights yesterday, none got logged. Three flights today, two got logged.

Yesterday, after first flight I checked the log, it was there. After second flight, sim crashed, both flights gone. I made a third flight, and it got logged. Started the sim today, third flight from yesterday gone as well.

Made two flights today, both got logged. Restarted the sim and made a third flight. Checked the log, and while the third got added, the first of today’s flights were gone. Maybe they’re all gone by tomorrow!

Yup, still present in v1.4.12.0. I’m persistently losing flights since March 31st.
For example, in the .12 build:

Completed a flight in the Condor:

Which is deleted after a flight in the Savage Cub:

Now the Savage Cub is deleted

I have a quick 10-minute test flight with the Boeing 747-8

Which is deleted after restating MSFS later in the day:

This is my latest logbook entry, showing a second flight in the 747-8:

The only reasonable explanation I can come up with, is that this sim eats log entries for breakfast.

I’ve kept my own log, to keep track of the disappearing entries, and out of the last ten flights I’ve made, three are logged in the sim. 3 out of 10!

They seem to be logged at first, but after a restart, they start to disappear. New beta version yesterday, restart the sim, another log entry lost. When I turned off the sim yesterday 4 out of my last 10 flights were logged. Start the sim today, another was lost. Mad.

Can those of you reporting this issue confirm with you are using Developer Mode within the sim? It could well be that having this mode enabled prevents flights from logging in the logbook. Our test team were unable to reproduce the reports whilst having Developer Mode disabled in the sim.

I’m on a Xbox Series S, and not using dev mode (I don’t think that’s even available on Xbox?).

I have not used Dev Mode in most of the flights over the past two weeks, two releases and I am still losing logged flights. A flight gets logged today, then disappears the next day when a new flight comes along, or something like that. To confirm this, I will not enter Dev mode in .13, even to activate the frame counter and will rely on the frame rate data in the Nvidia app overlay.

Thanks for the updated information. I’ve fed this back to the development team to see if they can take another look!

Dev-mode off too.

Yesterday I made 2 flights in the CT182T and today only one remains. That said, let the above serve as a baseline for how this goes in .13

End of day yesterday’s logbook. Note the last flight of the day, Max KMSP-KIAD…

Today’s logbook after a Max flight from KSAN to KDEN. Where did 4/16’s KMSP-KIAD go?

It would appear that the last flight of the previous day gets dropped off?

As a reminder, I’m not entering Dev mode during .13 to suss this defect out. I am using the Nvidia stats overlay to view frame rates and latency, etc.

So, I closed 2024 to do something in 2020 briefly, closed that and opened 2024…

And here is the logbook after reopening 2024…

My completed KSAN-KDEN flight from earlier today no longer appears, and…

A 4/15 flight in the C82Q has reappeared! It was missing yesterday and earlier today.
