No, they’re being retired here in the US as well. A national security concern around GPS denial has brought more public scrutiny to the Minimum Operational Network framework, but so far the retirement marches on.

IMHO it would be pointless. If one wanted to truly and faithfully simulate the early jet age navigation experience, it would require a lot more than just adding the navaids to the sim. How would all the other infrastructure be handled? - charts?, procedures?, ATC? etc.

True but a lot of the non precision instrument approaches that weren’t GPS or RNAV are gone. That was half the fun of flying old junk. I mean I used shoot NDB approaches with a turn over the FAF and a timed final segment but that was in a light twin. I couldn’t image doing in some a big as a 747.

There is an “NDB World” add-on available at simmarket, but as to the extent of its coverage and exactly what year the data was taken from, I do not know. I don’t know of any VOR add-on though, other than the 1958 golden era thing that someone else mentioned, and it’s only for the western USA.
