Hi there, That is called a power-off 180 and is actually a maneuver you must demonstrate when you are getting your commercial pilot certificate in the US. It is actually much harder to do that correctly than to come in with your engine on.

In the 152 your first power reduction should be pulling on the carb heat. 100MPH on downwind is too ■■■■ fast. That’s pretty much full bore in the 152.
