Did you make a interior for it?
You can try using ModelConverterX. It has a refresh button which quickly reloads the textures of the model (but for FSX models it does not always display the textures exactly how MSFS will show them).
You can also use developer mode to resync an aircraft without reloading the whole game. Be sure to delete the CVT (cache) folder for the aircraft you are working on. Sometimes the game only does a soft resync instead of reloading everything (not sure why)
After tons of hours tweaking the FS2004 model to rescale, load right and have all the animations (gears) work correctly in FS 2020, my second freeware project is off the ground after my initial success with the A333TR conversion. Still a ways to go but model wise, it works well in FS 2020 but like the A333TR, will be connected to the A320 Neo Cockpit…
Thanks for info!
Just noticed the F-4 I’m working on never has a CVT folder when I try in sim???
After 5 flights it showed up…
The depicted one is the menu where you can check the CG at different load scenarios, to edit the CG, you would need to do it in the configfile.
Night lighting 99% completed with this old and quite basic A350 model. Same issue with legacy model don’t think I can bake lighting into the model unless the model is built natively. So wing lights will float during flex. If I cannot find a way to light up the cockpit from the external view, I’m moving on to flight dynamics…
Question on glass again. I got the glass to look clear from the outside but looking out is still cloudy. Is there a inside texture I’m missing??
Ok lights are done. I’ve put a night definition on the cockpit since the model has no cockpit model to illuminate from within.
If A2A aircraft, the window could be fogged up. To clear, roll down a side window.
I love that paint scheme.
Brilliant really appreciate that helpful info
This Mig 29 is a PIA I think I will just scratch this one. I fixed the flaps and ails but the elevators are a mess. Seems most of the animations are reversed
Another update and again 949 MB, there goes my planes
WOW and another update this one 9.76 GiB.
see ya later
Knock on wood, my FSX mods are surviving the latest update 1.11.6.0. You never know with these things…
Here’s the A350 after applying the signature MSFS2020 reflective shine (clear coat) on the fuselage. I’ve used a lighter shine so the aircraft doesn’t appear perpetually brand new off the hangar…
Looking good! One of my favorite aircrafts.
