I imported orbx lancair and worked very well except the windows are not transparent, so how do I fix the windows? I do have model convert x.
If you don’t figure out I’ll be back in a few hours and show you. You just have to change a couple values while in Material editor under the glass
got to go-later
Can someone explain how to do this? Maybe with pictures
Thanks,
BobM.
Please head over to youtube and look for MSFS Legacy Importer - GenHUD Mod installations.
AH Dove has some really odd patterns when it was compiled. Plus the rivets/panels are totally wrong. I did some work on fixing those rivet/panel lines but still badly compiled model.
It was a bit of a pig to repaint, apparently. Do you know if anyone had done a paint of Dove G-OPLC? That aircraft was based at my local airfield for a while last year.
Two of the well-known painters I know wouldn’t touch the model and gave suggestions to AH but to no avail. I asked Just Flight about this but referred me back to AH. We wanted polished metal for some of the deliveries and there’s no bump mapping for the nacelles which is odd.
I figured out the glass part for the cessna 182 and thanks for that. The orbx lancair is different and I beleive its a sun shade not the glass itself and I can’t find it
NP what are the planes freeware or payware.freeware send me download link for which you want more. I’m working outside so can’t do much at the moment… Is the 182 the one in FSX?
I know you said not to get it but just had to get my hands on it as its an aircraft iv been on a few times with aer arann, just wondering iv everything working but the sound, is that working for you?
Sound works fine here. Did you use the MFSF Legacy Importer program to import it?
Yup used it but no idea why the sounds aren’t working, I know things aren’t clickable but work with keyboard commands and my joystick, sounds are the only issue really
Maybe double check that the wav files are in the Sound folder of the aircraft folder too and if so they are referenced in the Layout.json file at the top of the aircraft folder tree.
Okay I’ll do that, it’s strange tho they don’t appear as waws in the sound folder but another format with strange doller sign extensions
I’ve imported some FSX AI planes and after watching them for a few takeoffs I noticed that they lose altitude whilst banking, sometimes dropping from over 1500ft to as low as 600ft above the ground before recovering. At first I was thinking this was a result of the import process but I’ve noticed the default generic models have this same issue. I’d like to fix it but I don’t know where to look in order to correct the issue. Anyone point me in the right direction?
If the default AI aircraft exhibit the same problems then it appears to be an issue that Asobo will need to sort out on their end, unfortunately.
