How do you prevent the default airliner traffic from conflicting with the FSLTL airliner traffic?

what do you mean conflicting? taxiing on the ground? fsltl is mostly for airliner traffic right? You wont see gamod models on airports where FSLTL models are injected. In the air, I dont really know, but FSLTL has a navdata API which allows their models to fly SID/STAR routes that are in other altitude/airspaces than the gamod models are flying in. I have never seen any conflict between them both. Actually, I dont really care, as long as I have airliner traffic in big airports, and ga traffic in small airfields. Can hear both of them communicating with atc and can see them in littlenavmap lol. only downside is default traffic is not detected by msfs tcas system, you will see fsltl traffix in tcas, but not default traffic. If you can live with default atc and the buggy taxi system from msfs which has a lot of bugs still, this works great. when flying airliners I use only beyondatc for traffic…would love to see vfr traffic added soon. they are working on it.

Do you mean all white Asobo airliners without liveries?

There is this bug, where GAmod aircraft stays parking and not moving. That is caused by MSFS bug but only affect with VFR flights. So i made temp bug fix version of flightplans, where all the flights are IFR. just place GAmod2024-TrafficBugFix to community and remove GAmod2024-Traffic to somewhere safe. Do not delete, because that bug can be fixed.

Those are MSFS hot balloons are not included with the latest version. There is moving ones in latest version.

But there is some changes made, because MSFS still uses own models with icao designator BALL. Try to change it in “GAMod-models” and seach “GAmod24_Balloon” folder, open aircraft.cfg and change icao_designator to BOLL and you are good to go.

I will release update later this week with some improvements and chages. All the model files are updated with SU3 beta versions and works pretty good.

this version is 100% SU3 combatible but works great also with SU2. SU3 has way better ground AI traffic, so there is benefits allready with SU3 beta.

KNOWN BUGS
There is still crucial parking bug affected to GAmod in SU3 beta ( AI Aircrafts trying to park to same spot, kills performance (SU2 bug) - #14 by C0rsten please vote) but this bug can be tackled with traffic density LOW in most of the areas.

NEW FEATURES

  1. SU3 has new BETTER ai traffic. No more wandering in forest and models keep the taxi paths. Try SU3 beta or wait SU3 to be released.

  2. now fully combatible without streaming any content of MSFS AI models. With scripts, you can disable MSFS ai models and AI traffic inside of content.xml. See folder 1_DISABLE_STOCK_TRAFFIC_TOOLS

  3. because of that, there is no “generic” from atc anymore. New way to ATC speak is “aircraft model manufactor + model + flight number” -) CESSNA SKYHAWK 2458 or CESSNA CARAVAN 2458. ATC may use in some cases only call signs. MSFS 2024 ATC logic is mystery on this.

  4. Lowered overhauls flights to 3 flights / airport (ULTRA) and 1 flight / airport (LOW), because there is just to much traffic in high density area. With LOW setting, there is only one flight in small airfields, to there is way to tackle bug called “aircraft trying to inject same parking spot” -) no performance loss with LOW.

  5. updated latest model LOD files from MSFS2024 via VFS (virtual file system)

  6. military traffic is now separated from basic models and traffic, because MSFS2024 new fallback system will use military models also with GA traffic. So if you want use military traffic, you need to only enable GAmod2024-MilitaryModels and GAmod2024-MilitaryTraffic. When using only GA traffic, enable only GAmod2024-Models and GAmod2024-Traffic. Special traffic is also separate pack and renamed to be first in priority order before GAmodels. So you can enable both models and both traffic folders.

  7. AIflow isnt anymore fully combatible. It wont keep the culling limit and MSFS tries to inject more aircraft after culling. So it would be for example 50 aircraft in a second but after 3 seconds 70-80 and it culls it to 50 after 5 seconds with serious stutter. So thats why total flight numbers are lowered in total. Start flight with ULTRA and put it to LOW after 30sec. You should have traffic amount that doesent kill your FPS and also with good amount of diffrent models.

  8. Random models worldwide! I decided to mix up the GAmod and there is now totally random models in airports so there is no certain models to find, like there was earlier C152 in every aiport.

  9. Hot balloons, helicopters and gliders do now touch and go manouvers in airports. They dont land, just starts climbing before touch down. This way there is special traffic also near airports.

I’m using BeyondATC to inject traffic from FSLTL and AIG. This means I have AI traffic turned off in the sim, and BeyondATC injects all the traffic.

Is this addon compatible with that? If so, is there anything special I need to do?

You should ask BATC team about it. GAmod isnt well known, yet. So i doubt they will add it to combatible list just by asking but you should still ask. Is AddonsLinker not supported when using FShud, or not supported at all with GAmod and you always need to have GAmod in the real community folder?

I have AIG models in my community.

One more question: I have a very small airport where there should be only small private prop planes, but GAmod is spawning larger regional planes or private jets. Is there any way I can limit the spawning to small aircraft?

Yes common problem, you cant use special traffic with FShud. Only GAmod2024-3GAModels and GAmod2024-TrafficForFShud

** Changelog 20.9.2025 **

  • Added quick step tutorial for having GAmod2024 working with MSFS2024
  • Model structure are now partial streamed, because MSFS stopped to have access to working files via VFS-system. This means lower size zip and more models and liveries. Only liveries and some .cfg files are now in the pack/zip.
  • Because of this new method coming back to streamed content, there is no way to change ATC callnames anymore.
  • added new models to the pack. Now total of 32 models and some of them has 2-3 variants, so close of 40 diffrent liveries included. New models: Beech 50, Beech 76, C177, DA42, King Air family, P2012, PC24
  • Military traffic is now allmost 100% MSFS2024 native, only Reaper is MSFS2020 file. With this change, performance is far better. But you cannot use military traffic with ga traffic, because broken modelmatching. To use military traffic, see Quick_step_tutorial_for_GAmod2024.txt
  • added back support for FShud (own traffic plans pack)

  • MSFS 2024 has very bad model matching, basicly it doesent have modelmatching atm. MSFS AI OFFLINE uses all the models in community and in MSFS core as AI aircraft. It is important to use Corsten´s Content disabler to enable only models that GAMod uses. See Quick_step_tutorial_for_GAmod2024.txt
  • Currently in SU4 beta, there is crucial bug with injected flights straight to air. They are not moving, thery are just with status “zombie” and stays still on the air. So with su4 beta, you cant use special traffic because those are all flights that are injected straight to air.
  • Aircraft doesent often land because there is bug called “landing_state doesent activate”. In some cases VFR flights are landing, but mostly not.
