Getting a bit sick of perf issues. Should I expect more?

Good afternoon! Is anyone experiencing performance degradation, for only a few seconds, and only during cruise? Any time I fly, something seems to lock up or bottleneck for a few seconds, then goes back to normal. It will happen many many times during cruise. It does not happen when on the ground, ascending, or descending…only at cruise. I cannot figure this out. Any thoughts? Thank ya’ll!

Check navigraph, vatsim or any other apps you have running for updates, also your third party and first party aircraft. Once done delete/empty your rolling cache, reboot and restart the sim.

I always suggest disabling all startup items in task manager, there’s no danger, if your system actually did need them you wouldn’t get the choice.

Good Morning. What do you mean, when you say “check?” Sorry for the ignorance.

I killed navigraph and simlink, but still occurs during cruise. Using ForeFlight and Flightevents, and still occurs. I cleared the rolling cache (which is set to 32gb), and still doing it. I even turned rolling off, and still occurred.

The devs of such apps often publish updates at the time of or shortly after most major sim updates. CHECK that you are on the latest version(s).

I am in the same boat. I got my computer over a year and half ago.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

I used a Quest 2 headset with it for some time, set it to the side as I got busy with things in life, came back to it, and now it is unplayable.

I also have 3 screens, so I figured give it a shot with the screens and give up on VR. I can’t get over 10 fps with 3 screens. Single screen, 25 fps max on low settings.

This is ridiculous. I have rolled back drivers, reinstalled all software and even factory reset my machine. Any help please??? I have used every resource I could find, playing with all settings, and still no improvement.

Isn’t that a laptop? … it sounds like there may be throttling so check your temps
