Ground textures are blurry, LOD System is too aggressive, and Loss of Detail in 2024 - streamed scenery AND CLOUDS looks worse than 2020

I tried spawning in at a location listed above. Plane is in the foreground for reference purposes, to indicate zoom level. Sim is 2024 on PC, with TLOD/OLOD 200, and dynamic detail locked to 50fps.

Doesn’t look too bad here, unless you look straight down. It’s one of these things where the terrain can look better at a middling distance, but not very close, and often not far away either, although the latter is for different reasons.

At maximum zoom I get this:

Looks bad, right? But let’s see where that is, highlighted with a red box, at normal zoom levels, again with the plane in the foreground for reference:

It’s that tiny little box in the distance. Me personally, I couldn’t care less if terrain at that distance has a lower quality as I can barely see it in the first place. As long as that terrain becomes less blurry as I approach it, and fast enough that my plane doesn’t get there faster than the LOD can improve, I’m happy with that.
