Im also curious to see if it brings the poi’s back in 2024 when downloading the update instead of streaming?

The observatory and Hollywood sign is back here. I went to Marketplace → My Library and downloaded Base Contents (about 2 gb) and World Update X: USA (about 4 gb). Fixed it! I wonder why they didnt put it in City Update 13. I think Disney Land is there too, at least a place with a resort with roler coaster and water near Orange.

Photogrammetry is always streamed, it’s the same way in 2020.
I’m theorizing it’s just a file just tells the sim to stream the new photogrammetry instead of the old, that’s why it’s so small.
Yes, it’s MSFS 2024. For both Base Update and World Update X USA you have to click update, download, then install. I don’t know how to fixed a streamed version, maybe you can just click update. Will try to post screenshots when I have time tomorrow.
So photogram always streamed? That would explain small CIty Update 13! Thanks!

Something is definitely up with the CU 13…this is with no SS3D Vol 1 installed. (Also checked with CU 13 streamed vs installed) same results…
For the uneducated, what is up in those two images?

If you have everything steramed, there is no update option, if you want to download the base package for MSFS2024 it is 160 GB…
The Santa Barbara Pier model is also missing in 2024. It was shown in the video as well. Can someone please check the 2020 version?
Also I noticed the Intuit Dome is missing also.
I dont appear to have any of the handcrafted items. All the building downtown are photogrammetry. When I install Samscene 3d scenery everything looks great but the US Bank Tower is gone.

Downloading everything didn’t fix the Observatory, but it did make Santa Barbara look like it did in the video, including the updated pier.

I see the same issue with the US Bank Tower with only SS city v1 1.5 installed.
Glad it’s not just me.

SoFi is incorrectly drawn (collapsed roof)
Downtown buildings are drawn incorrectly (look closely at tower buildings in center left)
Same results regardless if streamed or installed.
This is with 2024 content installed (not streamed).
It’s interesting that this bug hasn’t been a “quick fix” with the streaming nature of the game.
I wonder, is something with the bug deeper than streaming, and we need to wait until SU5?
SU5 beta didn’t fix this
