I too have had a very “terrible” experience with Honeycomb Aeronautics “customer support”. I’ve been dealing with Honeycomb Aeronautical for months regarding issues with my Alpha Yoke. Be aware that the HC customer service is dysfunctional, at best. My experience is a mirror image of the numerous complaints seen in many sim forums and the Better Business Bureau.
My issue was with the aileron / elevation controls (faulty sensors). This caused uncontrollable crashes to the grounds. I sent requests for their support (January & February 2023) several months before my warrantee ran out, however, they did not respond. I think they purposely avoided / delayed responding so that my warrantee would run out the following March. After they didn’t respond I just gave up. Just BE AWARE! They DO NOT RESPOND! Do not expect the customer service you deserve if you have an issue with HC products. Check the sim forums and Better Business Bureau before you buy thier products.
FYI, Marv Golden Pilot Supplies (Rick) contacted HC directly, on my behalf, as I purchased the TQ & yoke from them. I received a response from Dave J., Customer Support Team Manager, basically saying he wanted to help me resolve the issue. I sent a few more emails to him for the sake of clarification, however, he did not respond after that. From my experience, if they even reply, Honeycomb initially wants to give the impression they want to help, but fail to follow up.
At present it looks like I’m stuck with a dysfunctional Alpha Yoke. We the customers are responsible for any success Honeycomb has experienced. They owe us respect for that, but instead, take our money, then thumb their nose at us. Their nearly non existent customer service has become widely known, so I would assume that third party sellers should be aware of it. Therefore, I will not buy Honeycomb products sold by third party seller, as it would seem to me that they are more interested in the revenue that protecting their customers from poorly managed customer support, “money talks”
Whew! I rest my case
