Exactly what I wrote above. With the reversers being mapped on a button, you still cannot modulate reverse thrust unless one moves the throttles forward, which for me is a no no.
Therefore I mapped the reversers to the Decrease throttle, which gives me full reverse thrust. For me, this setup works well. YMMV.
