Gotcha. The CJ4 was updated a while back to become more realistic, so it’s fairly different than it use to be. For example, the missing sections in your flight plan are those discontinuities I mentioned above. The above guide was from before the update, and I made this video a while back for people like you to help get you up to speed without making things overly complicated. It covers flight planning, but I didn’t include doing so from the world map since that didn’t really change with the update. It’s on the long side of things, but I have it time stamped so you can find the relevant sections easily. Give it a watch, then let us know if you still have questions.
Btw, welcome to the forums. A mod can explain it better than me, but basically there is a trust level system here that limits your activities until you’ve established yourself and I guess cut down on spammers. You should be able to make a new thread soon if you haven’t already earned that level yet from your participation.
