hmmm… its important to distinct the two points: download and decompress.
If we assume its because of decompress issue: is it allways the same file where it hangs ? Some users tried to un-pack the file manually ( ext. tool, e.g. 7zip ). I also remember a case, where the RAM caused the problem. May be is worth to test with disabled xmp mode, who knows.
Have you checked the systemload while the installer is running ? Somewhat very high ?
PS: look how wide the range of possible problems is. Nobody can guess such things, but I assume if you
use Magican already, your firmware is up2date : MSFS stuck decompressing. Possible fix for Samsung 980 Pro NVMe users
