Internet down — something odd has happened to Xbox MSFS

No hard feelings. Emotions run hot when we are frustrated and text is a very difficult medium to read for “tone”. This sim can be, and frequently is, a baptism by fire experience.

When you look at a thread, usually those that have a yellow square next to their category, which fall under the Bug Reports & Wishlist, you will often times see a Bug-Logged tag or a Feedback-Logged tag. Those are indications to us that they have seen/acknowledged an issue. Even though the bug you’re now dealing with is tagged bug-logged, I’d still go to that thread and post that you are also having the issue. The more voices that contribute, the more weight the bug potentially has.

Regarding the Reserved Space. The Xbox installation of the sim is handled like this: the base sim – what you purchased from the Store – is installed on the Xbox’s storage device as any other game/app would be. What you install from within the sim via the Content Manager (Deluxe/Premium content, World Updates, purchased content from the Marketplace, etc.) is stored on the Xbox’s storage device in an expandable file known as Reserved Space. A few other bits are stored there, too. Things like the Rolling Cache’s data, any custom camera settings you’ve made for aircraft, and a few of the sim’s settings like traffic sliders and a few others. Most of your settings are stored in the cloud within your gamertag’s save file.

Okay.
To “clear Reserved Space” you would do this:
Here is the process if you’re in the sim:
• Press Xbox “Nexus” (aka Home) button
• Highlight MSFS
• Press Menu
• Select Quit and press A
• Press Menu
• Select Manage game and add-ons
• Highlight Saved Data & press A
• Highlight Reserved Space & press A
• Select Clear Reserved Space
