Navblue is Airbus. Not exactly a newcomer to aviation. And theyâve been in the Charts business for a while. Argueably, their charts arenât marketed to simulator enthusiasts - thatâs partly why Navigraph is very successful in that regard.
If you like to do IFR flights, yes it a great tool to have and worth the money.
Thatâs all fine, just saying having Navigraph integrated into the base product makes sense as they could make the out of the box MSFS better with their nav data and charts.
Even without Simbrief, just having all the charts, plates, etc at my fingertips on my iPad or on another computer screen is worth the price of admission for Navigraph. Plus, it also updates the nav data in the sim with its own more accurate data so that the sim uses the same dataset. And this is the Jeppesen data used by a majority of airlines and EFBs across the world.
Personal Comments
If you want to see if Navigraph is worth it, look up the latest teaser for Navigraph Charts App Version 8. You might find something you like or need in it:

Redirecting... (VFR)
Disclaimer: I am a Navigraph user.
True that, but Navigraph charts are Jeppesen based, which is Boeingâs subsidiary (and they too have been in business for a while )
They are of course labeled as âIntended for Flight Simulation Only - Not for Navigational Useâ, but if you disregard the label, these are real charts which I surmise can definitely be used in real life navigation (they are constantly updated).
I was responding more to the question âWho is NavBlue?â I know of Navigraphâs history, reputation and quality - thatâs why Iâm a user.
In short, even in simmerâs world, it all comes to Boeing vs Airbus
Iâm very much looking forward to the next version. Those new features (both VFR and IFR) are really missing and will be a welcome addition, making Navigraph an incredible EFB. Itâs great now, but this is next level stuff that will bring it in line with many of the capabilities of the âreal thingsâ like ForeFlight.
Moving this to #third-party-addon-discussion:tools-utilities since itâs totally focused on Navigraph.
Some awesome new features coming!
Looking forward to it.
Depends on what kind of flying you do really. If youâre a VFR GA guy, maybe it doesnât make much sense. But with any sort of more complex flying, particularly IFR or scheduled airline-type stuff, it is 100% worth it. And the Navigraph charts and data are exactly what real pilots use. I pay $200 a year just for the US charts in real life. For what you pay, worldwide data and Jepp charts from Navigraph is an absolute steal.
The next version of Navigraph currently in beta testing has full VFR sectionals and tools integrated as well. So right now, youâre correct. But it wonât be long until itâs also a complete VFR tool as well.
Yes. 100%. I literally use it on every flight. That + SimBrief + FSTKP are my go-tos these days.
If you are going to use Simbrief, then you need at least the basic plan so that SB uses the latest AIRAC data. If you are flying exclusively in the USA, there is apparently no difference from NG data and Asobo data in-game. Currently there is a game problem causing NG to cause some erratic behavior. Not NGâs fault.
I only fly GA in the USA now so I donât need it anymore. It is a good product though.
Yes, arguably more valuable than other my subscriptions like YT, Netflix and Spotify
Thank you all for your thorough explanations. I guess I will give it a try.
Best regards.
So, trying to make sure I understandâŠNavigraph does NOT work with the CJ4 working title mod now? I still canât get Navigraph to link in the CJ4. Navigraph IS linked to the WT G3000 mod in the TBMâŠjust not the CJ4.
I canât get my WT CJ4 to show the Navigraph charts.
Navigraph Navdata Center shows it installed in FS2020.
