Early check: Are you on Modern Flight Model? (Options-General-Flight Model) You should be.
If so:
Check your calibration using Windows Game Controller screen. Is the stick really solidly neutral (i.e., dot is squarely centered and no movement) at center or are you seeing flickers of Green indicating it’s still sending signals to the Potentiometer? is the dot wiggling around centerpoint?
So far, I have a nearly 12+ year old Sidewinder that’s showing a right roll input even centered. But my newer TCA Airbus uses magnets and is solidly neutral when centered - absolutely no movement and no green signs of uncontrolled input.
