Live Weather broken?

Ok, it’s not just me. The past two mornings (Tues. Wed.) looked fine…then again it was perfectly clear in Philadelphia so I didn’t think too much into it.

But this morning, again totally clear even though it’s overcast with rain.

Wind seems to be accurate I believe.

I am in KPHL as well and its totally clear but supposed to be raining etc

I have live weather back but in SU11 beta I cannot select custom weather on XBox the menus won’t select

Same as me on Xbox also on the beta having issues with atc audio cutting out

Think the live weather is back up and running now so check it out

Edit :Tried a few airports in UK and the weather is working back to normal. So hopefully it works for everyone else

Yep, think its definitely working now as tried a few locations in around Europe and the clouds are showing in conjunction with its current weather conditions in those areas concerned

Seems to be working for me now. I did do the sign out and sign in.

Thats good although I didn’t do what you have done though

Yes live weather is back but the customer weather menus I cannot access still

Hello everyone,

The issue with Live Weather has been resolved. All live services should now be working properly. Thank you for your patience as we worked through this issue.

I dont know- I have clouds on takeoff but I lose them in cruise and by the time I land they are gone. I have done this twice today with the same result (just finished a flight a minute ago)…and when I reload at the same airport I just landed at the clouds are back…so its not 100% fixed for me yet

Try flying between 6:00Z and 08:00Z… live weather cloud intergration is not working since at least a year…
No bug has yet been acknowledged…

Pressure and temp OK for me, but no clouds at all.

EDIT: Changed the airport and the clouds showed up. Back to the first one, and they are gone (even with the Metar showing a SCT layer at 2000 ft LOL)

EDIT 2: NOW I have the clouds! I think there’s a delay or something.

I am having absolutely no problems with the weather. Must say that it is somewhat startling when it suddenly updates in the middle of a flight from say mostly clear skys to mostly cloudy ones. But not a big deal for me.

A bigger deal is the 2nd part of the announcement about the migration of servers to a new cluster. Prior to that migration, my downloads for world updates for example typically peaked out at around 120mb/sec. (I have a gigabit Internet connection.) Some of the aircraft downloads would crawl along at 25-30mb/sec peak.

Today I reinstalled the 2 US World updates. They screamed along at close to 250mb/sec.

I am curious to know if this is just a coincidence.

Had a pretty horrifying experience with LW today. Took off from YVR which had a nice fog. Really atmospheric, and looked wonderful as it was also sunrise. Flew east to Castlegar. Anyone who knows there will know visibility is just a tad important. The weather broke as I headed east, pretty clear. As I was finalizing my visual to 33, the weather all of a sudden injected a thick fog. I was in a Twin Otter so unfortunately had to quickly turn off live weather as I’d have stood no chance.

just flew from KSEA to KBZN should of been clouds all the way, not one and I live in bozeman so I know it is totally cloudy here. Live weather clouds is still mostly broken as far as clouds are concerned. wind and baro seem to be working , hope this gets fixed.

Same. Flew over MCI with reported clear but weather map showed plenty of clouds south of it. Here’s the result:

Cloud issues should be fixed when they stop giving priority to METARS to determine the weather. Are people that simple that they can’t go look up METARS themselves? It’s what I do and takes less than a minute. Let MB do the weather and I guarantee whatever the METAR says will be close enough. Again, it’s only a snapshot of data taken and is out of date literally after it posts in some factors.

I hope this gets fixed soon as I only fly with Live weather. Would map will show clouds, when I’m at a airport and bring up the metar it will read that there should be clouds, just no clouds in sim, frustrating.

Took off from EGLL today seeing scattered clouds, while METAR is OVC39.

METAR is just whatever is reported at the time taken. Clouds move. I remember flying into southern California and my destination reported clouds and I could clearly see that they had MOVED west of the airport and the field would of reported clear if updated. Time between METAR time and me landing was +/- 20-30 minutes. Sitting outside the other day in my backyard I had about 2-3 different categories of clouds cross over my house within 20 minutes. METARS are only generally required every hour. We’re looking for exact outcomes in an ever changing environment, you’ll drive yourself nuts.
