Oh thanks so much
Yeah, thanks for posting this @kaha300d and @Cutlass172 - super helpful
Thank you for sharing this. So in this video, they introduce fuel (Condition lever to ON) after they press the Starter button. Right now in the sim, the starter button doesn’t stay on or stick if the condition lever is not set to ON first. Hopefully this will be fixed.
I see in that video there was a flight school instructor telling them what to do but it was hard to follow as he kept pushing their hands this way and that - of course even if I could understand what I think was Japanese I would not have been able to hear anyone - gosh those engines are loud and actually quite high pitched.
I found another which actually shows the personnel flying - esp a take off and a landing which clearly shows where the levers are.
You know, I’ve been quite critical of both the Local Legends and the Famous Flyers in the past. Too many of them have not been … exceptional.
But this one! I’m falling in love with this plane. I love the plane itself, and I love the version we got in the sim. It’s not flawless, but it’s really nice!
So well done Inibuilds/Microsoft. Long may it continue.
As soon as this legend dropped I was all over it. Back in the FSX days I had the Payware Aerosim YS11 and got a heaping of fun and enjoyment, much like the Hs748. Theres nothing that beats them Roll Royce darts and cockpit noise. There both exceptional for North American Arctic Ops. This is my one 110% local legend win win.
Remember as a kid in the 70’s hearing Piedmont’s YS-11’s & FH-227’s coming before you saw them, I’d run outside to see them fly right over the house into KDAN, those RR Darts were very loud.
Finally - a video that comes halfway close to replicating the actual sounds!
How does one change vloc to gps in the gns 650? I don’t see a CDI button like the real thing.
tks
Go to the nav page not the map page and it should be there on the lower left.
Hello All.. Just got this plane and I’m trying to learn it… Regarding sounds, are the engine sounds too low? It’s there but seems like it should be much louder both inside and out. Also does anyone know if there are any taxi / runway sounds on this? It’s hard to tell if the Sim or the plane is adding sounds.. Thanks…
Noticed the LTN-92 navigation in that video. I would love to have that included, but I highly doubt stuff like that will ever be included in a Local Legend plane.
Hit the back button and then nav settings, then the round grey /silver nav mode circle is there. It took me a while to find it.
Alternatively open a PMS50 GTN750 window and toggle it there.
Anybody else getting noticeable frame drops every, I dunno, 3-5 seconds in this thing? Have seen it in 2020 and 2024 with the YS.
Other than the LOD pop ins in the cockpit, I’ve generally found this aircraft to be fine performance wise on my older system running fs2024. (5950x/3090/64Gb/dlss perf/4k output).
Well spotted, yes I wonder why they chose the GNS system over this the LTN-92. It has a more authentic feel to it.
It is confusing most Newcomers to aviation simulations. The old LTN is the Bridge between the Old Analog and Digital. Things move forward in Technology, less are interested in purist RW. Thereby the old LTN should only be an option so as not to hurt interest and sales of MSFS imo.
Probably because the GNS already exist for the sim and afaik the LTN-92 does not… They would have to custom code it and that might be beyond the scope of a LL/FF, although ofc it would be most welcome.
