don’t get me wrong once you learn your way around this is true. But i picked up spad because the logitech drivers weren’t working for me at all and it was plugged right into the I/O panel so no reason not to work. I was so horribly lost but once i “got it working” I just left it
Then i began wondering if i was limited to using radios with my radio panel. well turns out it’s not!. I began poking around the app and realized that if you’re not a relatively tech-saavy individual, you can get kind of lost. I had someone help me who was a guru with spad and i was still lost after awhile because it “wasn’t working” (definitely user error looking back)
Then i actually figured out how to add in the pmdg lvars to spad because i just ordered a new throttle and had buttons to map to it and it became a breeze after my previous experience with the app. Really it was the 3rd time really diving into it and trying to make it do what i wanted it to do. The 2nd time i used chatgpt and had to teach it a little bit about the spad.next interface but for the most part it set me on the right track with the right mindset to continue poking around.
Click okay and do that for all the USB Hubs listed there (or everything under USB Controllers that has a power management tab). It would not hurt to reboot your computer afterwards. If these dont work, i’ll eat my shoe
@geloxo. Many thanks for the assistance and the xml file, I am most grateful. I am [fairly :)] sure that all your instructions are what my settings were. I am about to dine - so the wife says - so I will start again fresh, hopefully tomorrow, with a remove/reinstall all and eventually get [at least] something working. BR
I didnt. It just did ! I just never uninstalled the Logitech drivers.
(Just to clarify: I am using several peripherals at the same time. The Logitech panels are running on their own, I dont program them. I use Spad to program the Virpil Control Panels and the Bravo Throttle. But they are all are running at the same time and with the same plane)
I tried to use SPAD because I really wanted some of the switches on my Bravo to work in a certain way. I found that it was hard for me to grasp, and after a while I decided to move on. But regardless of my personal experience, I do realize that a working SPAD setup isn’t Bigfoot - it does exist, and for those who want to put the time and effort into it, it appears to be a very useful and helpful tool that provides an extensive set of tools to make MSFS work better.
If you only want your devices to work with default aircraft the logitech drivers are the way to go.
Using SPAD as just a driver for your hardware is like using a car just to listen to the radio, then claim a handheld radio is more usable.
SPAD shines in many areas where there are just not a good alternative except AaOS:
To automatically configure buttons and switches to a profile that changes when you change your plane.
To assign functions to buttons and switches and axis that are not mapped by MSFS, many aircraft have their custom LVARs and events that are just not mappeable in MSFS.
To use hardware that is not supported by MSFS: For example a Streamdeck, X-touchmini, Class Echo, many others.
To create complex logic for your hardware like triggering several actions or conditional actions depending on the state of the sim. I have for example callouts for the planes that don’t have callouts or a way to map a single switch in my switch panel to turn on several interior lights.
To create virtual FIPs that can be displayed in a screen.
Since MSFS does not give “state of the sim feedback” not yet anyway Spad. Next is useless. Don’t waste your $$. When you install Spad N it shows a dialog says"The Software dose not work with MSFS" In order to proceed you must agree with this. Oh sure many many many hours programing it. Hours you could be flying. Or watch 3 hour you tube videos on to program it and be none thew wiser.
What is concerning is you telling lots of people in this thread that they are not intelligent enough to use Spad N. That is not cool. It is not misinformation. Aircraft states are on the wish list. Spadcr needs this. When you install Spad n it tells right there it won’t work and on the website they say they are working with MS to get it to work. It is not misinformation. Alot of people found out the hard way it dose not work.
Spad.Next works with MSFS for sure. You can read and send data via MSFS bridge plugin, via SimConnect, via FSUIPC or via its custom plugins for old devices. Even serial devices and displays are supported. All standard variables from MSFS are included, even the ones that allow you to set position of cockpit controls, levers or even set control surfaces or elements angles. However you need to understand how the original aircraft addon was coded in case it deviates from the standard. Even Asobo does not follow the same rules to activate things on the cockpits and not everything can be activated by sending SimConnect events (the easiest).
Some variables are meant for events, others for html controls, there are multiple types (bool, number, string, etc) and some custom commands require a combination of several actions or the reading of other variables values to be triggered (that´s how they were coded in the original aircraft). But you can read and set almost everything that is avialable in game and in the addons, provided that the addons include the needed variables and actions are coded that way. I mean it´s a very versatile application but it´s not so easy to make things standard as MSFS content itself is not standard either.

No. Spad.Next (your deliberate misspelling makes you look childish) is an extremely powerful piece of software that adds a huge amount of functionality.
It is no more complicated than any other similar software offering comparable functionality.
You are simply saying more about your own inability to take the time to learn how to use it an apply it to your requirements.
