It’s related to the temperature thing which isn’t 100% fixed yet. Other people have it, too, I saw on the MSFS and FBW Discords. And no, I only use VR for VFR.
The best planes for IFR are the Fly by Wire Airbus and the Aerosoft CRJ. Beautyfully rendered inside and outside.
THE ideal plane to start IFR would be a Boeing 737 but you have to wait until PMDG released their Boeing planes.
But because I cannot fly IFR I can´t say if these machines have any bugs or not because I simply don´t know what functions properly and what not…
I have had the 40c thing at 30k, it just wont climb more, but should not lose alt. plus there’s a work around by using a 3rd party weather addon
ojhwel, the Flybywire A320nx is causing CTD’s after the S5 update a few days ago.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Believe it or not there was a time way back, probably fs 2000 that I was pretty proficient at VOR NAV but that’s a distant memory. This is a whole new world and to tell you the truth. I like it.
I learned VOR/DME navigation in the Flight Sim World. It had PA-28-180 as a training aircraft. Steam gauges and basic autopilot (KAP 140) without GPS.
Unfortunately, MSFS doesn’t seem to have any single non-GPS aircraft equipped with autopilot, even the highest tier doesn’t have them.
Can you make a video, describing your plane config and such, during flight, showing the moment the liner automatically drops? Maybe some experienced liner pilots here spot something? Just an idea..
Agree. The TBM is a great transition to small jets. Approaches get really busy when using a good ATC app.
