Thanks again. Have to choose between 15.6" 16:09 ratio and 14" 16:10. Which would you suggest? My thought process was that with the 16:09 ratio I’ll get a wider screen which would making fitting in 2 instrument displays easier. Your thoughts?
Appreciate the help
If you were putting a single Garmin pop-out on the display for a G3000 or G3X I’d say 16:10 because that’s the native aspect ratio of those displays in RL. But otherwise 16:9 would be better I think.

MSFS 2020 WIN11. Posted in another thread, but probably won’t get much traction there. Built a new machine. Things worked fine for a while. Program ‘works’ because the popouts appear in proper places. The Program window however is not visible, so can’t make adjustments. I tried to determine if it was hidden behind any display. Couldn’t find it. It was Ok for a couple of days. Maybe I clicked on something I shouldn’t have? I’ve removed it, downloaded and unzipped. No change.
Second item. What is the file ‘zzz-ready -to-fly-button skipper’ ?
Correction - pop-outs are not showing either. Program is running in Task manager.
Hi there,
Is there a way to use POPM2024 to pop out MSFS 2024 EFB to an andoïd device with space desk. I can put my efb to my device, but is it possible to do it with popm2024 ?
After getting the Winwing MCDU, I realized how awesome it would be to have a small touchscreen monitor for all of my PMS50/TDS- GTN750-equipped aircraft, so I got one a couple of weeks ago and used POPM for the first time…super easy to use, kudos to the developer!
Question: When I have Windows Calculator on the touchscreen, the number buttons react almost instantly. In the sim (FS2020 if it matters), I feel like I have to tap the screen in a certain manner in order to quickly type something, i.e. a radio frequency. Once I get the rhythm, most of my taps work fine, but it takes a bit of adjusting.
Is this a sim limitation, or is there anything I can adjust in POPM? I’ve kept all of POPMs settings as default.
Currently, POPM 2024 does not directly support popping out EFB from the toolbar. But there is a workaround for it when using POPM.
1.In your POPM aircraft profile, expand the down arrow next to the red or green text (Auto Pop Out is Active/Inactive) in the line of Active Aircraft. You will see additional options.
-
Check “Include in-game menu bar panels for pop out management and touch screen support”
-
Now when in a flight session, after clicking “read to fly”, you have to manually open EFB from the toolbar and then also click the expand pop out icon in the upper right corner of the EFB window. This will make EFB a pop out window instead of in-game panel that you can drag to other monitor. You don’t have to drag the window yet at this point.
-
After that, do the usual “start pop out” and all other managed panels will be popped out, plus the now included EFB, which is already there but POPM now has a extra panel you can configured. You can now configure the EFB for size and location and enable touch if desire and place it on any monitor or tablet when using Spacedesk. Also, important, disable “auto game refocus”. If this is enable, you won’t be able to type anything into EFB.
-
After configuration, locked the POPM aircraft profile. And now EFB is usable with POPM.
- When using touch, to select item an drop down item within EFB, slide your finger across the item instead of tapping the item if tapping does not work.
- In the next flight session, just repeat step #3 above and then execute start pop out and all panels (including EFB) should be configured.
The only caveat is auto pop out should not be used in this scenario since step #3 above has to be manually executed before step #4. Currently, auto pop out will execute step #4 as soon as “ready to fly” button is clicked.

Stanley,
Thank you so much ! Your explanations are cystal clear, and it’s working perfectly !
Have a great day !
Oliver.
When i launch MSFS24 again, and run POPM24, EFB is poped out to my device, but size is not respected.
EFB can’t be used. I wil try again.
It works almost perfectly automatically. The only thing POPM24 doesn’t do is go full screen or maximize the window.
POPM24 remains a very good tool that has become indispensable!

Hi Stanley, I am not sure where to put my question, so I came in here. I have been using your Pop Out Manager extensively and it works great, thank you so much. I just installed Chase Plane from Parallel 42 and now no more popping out…Are you aware of any incompatibilities? Thank you! - Johan
I’m not aware of POPM incompatibilities with Chase Plane but it is possible there could be compatibility issue since POPM relies on default camera views to define panel location using SimConnect and Chase Plane modifies camera views and camera system. Another user is reporting similar issue in POPM github, so there could indeed a compatibility issue.
One thing to try is update your POPM aircraft profile and reestablish panel location based on the list of available camera views since Chase Plane may have modified them. Unfortunately, I don’t have Chase Plane so I’m not sure how their software actually work technically.
Thank you Stanley, I tried what you recommend, updating the profiles, etc…not successful. I put a ticket with Parallel 42 and there first response was not conclusive either. It’s a new product for MSFS 2020, so it will take some time to debug…Thanks again.
New to the program just found out about it today. I have the latest version 4.1.2 and I have been unable to get it work so far. I am using a downloaded aircraft, the FlightFX P180. I created the pop-out and it fails the second step after start. I turned on the legacy custom camera and then it fails at the third step. I tried changing the default switches (i.e. always on top, full screen mode, etc.) but this did not help. The program itself is in a folder for the program only and the POPM configuration and profiles folder is in the documents folder. Using MSFS 2020. Using Superdisplay and an LG tablet to display as a 3rd monitor.
Any help in getting the program working correctly would be greatly appreciated.
