[MSFS2024] Airbus A321LR

Hi.
I reported this bug here:

Feel free to coment and vote so it gets some traction.

I have A321 Standard. And the A320neo. No signs on A321LR. Yet I see many people posting youtube videos with the A321LR, and I wonder where they got it. The release notes about FS2024 also mention the A321LR would be available, but where?

Can you post a picture of the cabin, the EFB and the MCDU with the engines info?

Ok, that’s the Asobo/Inibuilds A321 XLR, as you can read on the MCDU, it have the LEAP-1A32 engines, and those are the engines of the NEO.

If you check the default Airbus livery (for this airplane), you will see a “New York to Paris” and the statue of Liberty and the Eiffel tower.

I’m afraid I do not understand what you mean: the default Airbus livery, if I select it, the airplane remains the same, the standard edition and not the LR

Juan, thanks for your help

I mean, if you select the default Airbus livery for this aircraft and click “start flight”, as if you were going to make a flight.
You will be able to see the details mentioned in my previous post.

I don’t mean that by using this livery, the aircraft becomes an XLR, the aircraft is always an XLR, it’s just that it is wrongly indicated in the description (or rather, not indicated).

Actually, the statistics for the A321 is a copy+paste of the statistics from the A320neo V2. And as you can see in the second photo you posted, the information is wrong. Just look the Max altitude: 12999ft.

Got it! Thanks for your help. Really appreciated it!

Today tried first flight. It was good until I reached to cruise altitude. It started to make sudden jumps with a ap disconnection. Also I had overspeed problem despite I flew with mcdu speed and even tried with mcp speed. Both didn’t work and had to use spoilers constantly

Nah statistics in ga m e is broken, i dont know hoe msfs24 get aircraft info

Has anyone had problems with the reverse thrust not working with the TCA Throttles. I calibrate them in the EFB but the levers still won’t go into reverse.

I’m still having this issue on Series S for the A321LR. Frustrating

I have found as a workaround, changing between “Reverse on Axis” to no and back to yes, fix the issue.

This definitely fixed the issue for me on the inibuilds A320 V2. It was the first thing I tried in the A321LR and it hasn’t worked at all. A real bummer.

Today I was surprised to see that on Xbox, the A321LR has the full passenger cabin modeled. :eyes: The cockpit door can be opened and the cabin is there. I’m sorry but is this the intended behaviour? Isn’t this the reason why graphics (ground textures and shadow quality) are so bad while using this plane?

To my knowledge other default airliners don’t have the cabin for memory/graphics related reasons.

All airliners on 2024 have a fully modelled passenger cabin now. Needless to say this means that the smaller A20N performs better than the large A330-300

Nope, all default 2024 airliners have modelled cabins. Even the 737 and 747, which supports your theory about their impact on performance

I see the point of this with the new “streaming” architecture, because every time you switch views and such, assets are downloaded and reloaded again and again, and only those elements that are needed, so in theory the passenger cabins can be there whenever you look at them. However, I still think it’s a bad design choice.

On one hand, I feel the presence of passenger cabins, even if they’re “streamed”, still burden the Xbox’s memory, hence the terribly low graphics, shadow quality, draw distance, low framerate, etc, whenever we use an airliner. I feel it would be better if the cabins were not there (just like in 2020), and not even considered for streaming.

On the other hand, we will be able to download and install aircraft manually in the future. Now, if we download everything, including the cabins, then they will be there permanently, probably loaded into the memory, dragging down the performance, with no option to disable them. That will simply not work. This is the reason why 2020 doesn’t include passenger cabins on Xbox.

And no, the developers will never convince me that the rendering engine is so smart that it only streams and loads things into memory that I’m actively looking at. Playing FS24 on Xbox proves otherwise. It’s probably too late now but I wish they reconsidered this design philosophy and disabled passenger cabins on Xbox, especially for locally installed aircraft. The graphical quality and performance makes airliners borderline unplayable currently.
