Native Telemetry Relay for Xbox (Enable External Flight Tracking)

I am writing to request a native “Telemetry Relay” feature for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on Xbox.

The Problem: Currently, Xbox users are unable to use external flight tracking tools (Navigraph, Volanta, Virtual Airline ACARS) because the Xbox OS sandbox blocks SimConnect. This creates a massive gap between the PC and Xbox experience, effectively locking console players out of the Virtual Airline community.

The Solution: Please add a native option in the General Options > Data menu that allows the simulator to “push” basic telemetry (Position, Altitude, Speed, Heading) to a user-specified URL or a partner service (like Navigraph) directly from the sim itself.

Why this matters:

  1. Parity: It would finally bring Xbox simmers onto the same playing field as PC pilots.

  2. Community: It would allow Xbox players to join Virtual Airlines that require flight tracking/logging.

  3. Feasibility: We have seen individual aircraft (FSR500, Vision Jet) implement this via WASM. A native, sim-level implementation would solve this for every aircraft, including the default fleet.

Thank you for considering this

Voted. This would be good

Unfortunately on Xbox it’s a second rate sim compared to PC but it doesn’t need to be😳

Yeah the ability to fully participate in or create virtual airlines would be great. But I know the truth, the Xbox was always considered a video game console and designed to operate solely within Microsoft’s infrastructure and economy. Everything outside of it is considered a security threat.

I know that’s how MS views it, and that’s a shame because all we need is read-only access to the data.

It’s been done before. There was an app that displayed Halo heat maps back during the Halo 2 days. So they can do it.
