Just made a 10 min flight and after loading a new flight, the program closed. Will continue the testing

@BlueSkyPilot416 I decided to return to the old drivers. 1 out of 3 flights crashed. Until now, I made around 10. Sometimes I got a “drivers timeout message” and sometimes I got a screen like this here. I managed to make a screenshot. With the old drivers I had not a single crash as far as I remember.

So far still good here. Did you use the AMD removal tool before installation?

I’m on 21.3.1 with no issues since update on a RX5700XT (Asrock Phantom Gaming D 8GB OC), but longest flight was 2 hours since then.

Running MSFS with 3 monitors at 1080 (5760 x 1080), and AMD Software tells me 29 FPA Avg and 48ms Percentil 95 .-

Wondering what resolution setup you have to get 56.1 fps?

I am still with the new driver with about 35 to 40 hours on it without any ctds so far. That includes a 7 1/2 hour flight.

I have an AMD7 5800. RT 5700XT. 36GB 3200
Resolution 2560x1440. Render 100. Terraine 200
Mostly Ultra settings - Avg 40fps over avg areas - 25-32 over very dense areas. Also suffer with the recent stutter/fps issue presently.

I recently made these changes to some windows settings that so far seem to have alleviated some of my stuttering but I need to do a lot more flying and observation.

If you do the changes, you do so at your own risk!

Nope, I’m back to a stutter fest with big drops in fps…

My Resolution is 5120 x 1440 on Ultra Settings ingame. VSync ON locked to 60 FPS, HDR 10 enabled, TAA enabled, Render 100. In Radeon Software Performance is set on Preset Rage.
Hardware: AMD 5900X, AMD 6800XT Factory Design, 32 GB 3.600 MHz RAM, ASUS X570 Crosshair Dark Hero, WD SN750 SSD, Philips 499P9.

Well, there it goes…2 timeout errors in 3 hours after 20+hours of solid performance. Back to Nov 2020!

Will this older driver work with the 6000 series GPU’s ? I have a 6900XT, and was wondering. I had a driver timeout issue once. Then the other flights were OK.
I don’t really understand what is causing it. It is only in MSFS for me. The other I use doesn’t have that issue.

Yup, CTD for me too on the new drivers, 1 hour out of the gate. I was using the September 2020 drivers as my “stable” drivers but I’ll give the October one a whirl now based on others’ feedback.

CTD on the new drivers permenantly, went back to 20.11.2 and the CTDs have come with me. When I click ‘ready to fly’, it crashes. 100% of flights.

Now that a lot of the flying issues have been improved I’m giving this driver another shot. It seems to have increased my FPS by 3 - 5 but I wasn’t too scientific in that analysis.
So far I have about 4 hours with it and presently on a 6 hour flight from Newark, NJ to RAF St. Mawgan Cornwall, England where I was once stationed for 3 years. It was beautiful there!
Oh yeah, I downloaded the “Pro” of the driver with the hopes it maybe better able to support MSFS2020.

I’ll keep you posted!

R7 3800 - Rt5700xt - 32GB 3200

I got a CTD 2 hours into my flight. Back to the driver from 11/20…

I am running a 6800XT with 21.3.1 + overlay 9700KF@4.9Ghz, 2x16Gb DDR43600 , Z390 Gigabtye MB, 1TB M2 drive. All stable- No CTD yet but I think my flight time has been limited to 1hr 15min, I do need to try 3 hours flying to test further. A bit high temp ratings on my 6800XT -up to 95C (!!) , are your cards running hot too? I wonder maybe the latest drivers benefit the 6000 series cards more than the 5000 series.
