New flybywire mods

I’m having trouble calibrating my reverse thrust with TCA Airbus side stick.
Can anyone help?

The rest of the detents are working great!

Using the sidestick throttle slider? I suppose you need to use the virtual button at the reverse detent and bind it to “Decrease thrust”.

I always save a copy if previous update before I update. It came in handy today.
Today’s experimental update had an issue where the landing call outs were missing, so reverted back.

I am still getting a unique heading bug where managed heading mode gets turned off when AP engaged and I gotta struggle put it back on.

I’m sorry I meant to say the TCA quadrant

Ahh, in that case, you need to turn on the Reverse on Axis in the EFB FlyPad calibration.

Then make sure the calibration are the following values:

Full Reverse, Start -1.00 End -0.90
Idle Reverse, Start -0.75 End -0.60
Idle, Start -0.55 End -0.45

I was originally using the Development version and it was only yesterday when I came across a YouTube clip that showed these features in the experiment version, so downloaded that as a replacement. Many have said it’s been out for a while (a week), but like me, some people maybe unaware of this feature? So I put a post out stating that in the Experimental version these features can be found. So be it I never mentioned a specific build, but I wasn’t focusing or stating on what build it was. I was just mentioning about the newer features that could be found, which aren’t on Stable or Development. Some people may of read this post and headed straight for the Experimental version to give it a go. It shouldn’t confuse anyone. In all I think my post is useful. I’m curious, has there been another post previously released telling others about the new features of the flybywire when it came out a week ago? If not, then mine all be it a week late is new news to others. Now can we move on with this discussion instead of picking.

Actually the experimental version has been around since last year, and it’s only available to the installer around January. The one that was released a week ago, was the improvement to the experimental version which includes the Custom Auto-Pilot. But the custom autopilot has also been available for download outside of the installer a lot earlier too.

I’ve actually been using the experimental version since last year, that version has the custom FlyByWire controls and custom throttle configuration which I can’t live without since I use the TCA Quadrant.

They don’t really announce it since it’s very experimental in nature, and it can be annoying when users pick them up, then notice something different and begun to flood the forums or discord of any queries and questions for something that is essentially a “work in progress”.

A lot of people don’t like the ever changing nature of updates. You tend to see it where people are adamant about getting windows updates, MSFS updates, and mod updates. Most people feel they’re more comfortable in their comfort zone that something that is stable is better than things that keep changing one day, then it’s something different another day.

My point is, I think a lot of people already know about the experimental features. It’s just that most people have already decided that they should stick to Stable version because they believe the development/experimental feature is full of bugs.

Turn on? I don’t see a “on” button for the reverse throttle

You turn this on… Click on it.

Ahh! I feel stupid. Thank you very much :smiley::smiley:
