It’s just partially fixed in 2024. How about 2020?? Still nothing…
Taburet now has two MSFS 2024 versions of Niagara Falls for sale on simMarket:
I have version 1 but, oddly, Taburet/simMarket have yet to notify me of even the availability of the new version.
Although the Falls were one my favourite spots fly in MSFS 2020, I will hold off buying any more addons for it until Jeppeson2001 releases a 2024 update, or Bijan or Cli4D produce a competing product.
Looking at Version 2, clearly better than the default but not great either. I’m hoping Bijan will come through for us.
X 2 Rogue…

I created a detailed animated waterfall for Niagara Falls, but it doesn’t load or appear once added to the Community folder. It’s as if there’s a “black hole” in that area—any object placed there simply doesn’t show up in the scene. However, objects placed just a few meters away from the falls appear normally.
This screenshot is from SDK while working on it.
Update: this is now fixed.
Hi Bijan,
If you follow the Dev Support links I provided in an earlier post in this thread, you will see that Jeppeson2001 ran into some kind of oddity about Niagara Falls that only Microsoft (and not Asobo) can sort out. Perhaps your “black hole” issue is related.
Hi
Yes, that could be tied to that.
I just tried Taburet’s Niagara Falls V2 MSFS24 and, sadly, Niagara Falls is still a mess.
On one hand, Taburet’s Niagara Falls V2 is a slight improvement and a free upgrade for people who purchased his V1.
On the other, is not a worthy alternative to what Jeppeson2001’s Niagara Falls City Pack was before that fabulous addon was broken by MS-Asobo System Updates.
For me, the Niagara Falls City Pack remains the “Gold Standartd” because it had the most:
With Jeppeson2001’s addon, flying up the Niagara River at 150 ft in the air was a joy.
One can still experience some of that fun in MSFS 2024 with Jeppeson2001’s Victoria Falls and with Heaven Designs’ Iguassu Falls (and in the near future with Cli4D’s soon-to-be-released Iguassu Falls).
But MS and Asobo really should sort out what ever issue is blocking developers like @bijanstudio, Cli4D, and @Jeppeson2001 from performing their scenery magic on the Niagara Falls area.
In my ideal world, not only could one view highly detailed models of the Falls, but one could also fly all the way from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie and see a topographically accurate, and PG tree blob-free Niagara River and Niagara Gorge filled with handcrafted bridges, hydro-electoral facilities, parks, and viewing platforms. Then, one could land at one of the local airports or helipads and stroll the streets of Niagara on the Lake, Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, and Buffalo, and explore the the interiors of POIs like Fort Mississauga, Fort George, Fort Niagara, and Old Fort Erie.
If this were possible in MSFS 2024, I suspect local public broadcasters like tvOntario and WNED-TV might be interested in interviewing developer(s) responsible and showcasing their work. It would certainly fall within their public education mandates.
Have not purchased it out yet, but Cli4D has just released a Niagara Falls fix.
It is available at simMarket: simMarket: NIAGARA FALLS MSFS24

That looks pretty nice . But still no Niagara Falls Improvement for 2020?
I am not sure if Bijan is still updating it for FS2020, but he just announced the inclusion of a Niagara Falls fix in the next Earth FX update: Earth FX - By Bijan - Active Volcanoes, Animated Waterfalls, Animals - Discussion Hub / World Discovery - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
So do any of the moderators know what Asobo did to allow developers to get past whatever it was that was blocking them? I don’t think it was part of any SU or beta update. An underlying fix to Bing map data perhaps?
Good question!
I don’t see anything in the DevSupport forum that suggests there is new public information about the problem.
