Not AAU1: Cessna Citation Longitude Flight Dynamics Modification Project

@Dakfly0219, now that the .CFG files are unlocked, could you revisit the lights, and maybe start by adding my light mod when you get the chance? Like I said in earlier posts, Asobo made some generalizations on the lighting and even the modification that came later by Uwajimaya, while much better than Asobo’s assumptions, are also a little less realistic, no offense to Uwa, because his works are marvelous. But here are the IRL facts:

  1. The Longitude does not have strobes at the wingtips. The strobes are coded with the multicolor lights on the beacon lighting housing. So, they serve as either the anticollision beacon, flashing red, nothing, red, nothing when the strobes are off, or red, white, red, white when the strobes are on. So the only lights on the wingtips are red and green.

  2. The tail flood (logo) lights are located at the aft part of the engine mounts, not the forward part, and the lights illuminate the vertical stabilizer much more, and are centered on the reg numbers. Here is the IRL location of the lights (this is the right engine mount, so engine cowling is on the right, and fuselage on the left):

Here are my modifications for those who haven’t seen them. I placed the logo lights as close to where they should be (there are limitations) to produce the same light bounce in real life):

  1. There is a 3-set taxi downwash light fixture underneath the leading edge of the wingtip just before the beginning of the bend upward to form the “winglet”. This illuminates the ground just under the wingtip so pilots can see whether there’s gonna be a wing collision or not. Here is the location:

And here it is IRL:
