I love the F22 and every modern fighter in the US Air Force. The first flight sim aircraft I ever flew (minus the “Air Combat” I flew on SEGA Game Gear, of course) was the F-117A Stealth Fighter 2 by MicroProse, Then I travelled to Europe for the first time (I come from Nigeria), Germany, to be specific, and discovered Falcon 4.0 by same MicroProse, and F-22A Raptor by, I think, Novalogic or something. That’s when I completely lost my mind and every other game became nonsense for me. I caught the flightsim bug! It was years later, in 2003, when I came to live in the USA, that I started with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002. Good old days.
Hi . Cannot find the file you refer to as available at flighsim.to . Thanks
Here you go:
Thanks alot. Appreciated.
You’re most welcome.
Ok, I was doing a flight yesterday in the Longitude and as I was taxiing in, I noticed I did not have any landing or taxi lights. So I went back thru this thread and saw where it was recommended to delete the v1.84 mod from the community folder, redownload it from flightsim.to, and reinstall it into the community folder. I have done all of that. Today, I have tried to start a Longitude flight 3 times and before the airplane comes up FS 2020 crashes to desktop. I have also tried different Longitudes but they all crash. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
EDIT: Guess it is not an issue with the Longitude. Just tried to bring up the TBM 930 and still got a CTD. Guess it’s a FS 2020 issue…
Can you load a flight with the stock longitude (unmodded)?
Would recommend clearing your community folder (back up your files of course) and then try again “clean”. Then re-add mods until something fails.
I now cannot even open FS 2020. I have cleared my community folder but nothing. It has only gotten worse. Now something different has happened. As soon as I open FS 2020 the Microsoft Store front opens in the background. As FS begins to open and the FSUIPC7 banner appears it immediately crashes. Even after clearing the community folder. I’ve never had the MS store front load when I go to open FS 2020. Have no idea what has happened.
If you are running FSUIPC7, you will need to leave the fsuipc-lvar-module folder in the Community folder.
Forgot to mention when I turned on my computer this afternoon there were 3 Microsoft updates put on my computer. I have tried to uninstall them but they just keep reappearing. No problem until they were installed. I try to prevent them from being installed as MS 2020 was running near perfect. Now it’s a total disaster.
Which Win10 version are you using?
So I reinstalled FlitSim2020 and my mods in the Community Folder. I flew from KUGN to KMBS using 1.84 and the Garmin 0.72. All went well until I started the ILS approach into Rwy 23. When should I enable APP mode? I waited almost until I intercepted the localizer and the aircraft blew right through
it and descended below 2300. I am confused. I know I set the Nav from FMS to Nav 1 for the localizer.
When I enable APP mode, do I enable the VSI or does it descend automatically? Do I also disable ALT from the AP? Before Update 4, the Longitude landed and intercepted just fine on the same approach. Did Update 4 or 5 break the 1,84 mod? As i said, the flight went fine until I tried shooting the ILS.
You would normally push the APP as soon as you’ve captured the LOC. Don’t wait until you intercept it because you might not capture it. Just make sure to fly underneath the GS until you capture it. That’s all. When you enable the APP mode, that’s all you do, nothing else. No VSI, no disabling ALT. That will disappear once the GS changes from white (armed) to green (captured).
how about in some rare moment, I was underneath the G/S, LOC is good and lined-up, then I press APP, that G/S is turn active, but the a/c is setting a slight VS -100/200! So odd! that I am sure it was in level flight before I press that APP.
That happens in some other a/c too, e.g. CRJ700.
Is that any advice to set before APP? is that set it to VS = 0 , is always better than just ALT=ON at Entry (baro checked and sync) ?
No, Update 4 and 5 did NOT break the mod. ILS approach has always worked fine for me provided I did the correct procedure. Sounds to me like you did not. And you want to be in a stable altitude configuration too. Pay attention to the FMA annunciators. That will tell you what the autopilot is thinking.
thanks, i will check that more closely!
@TXTAVDan
I hope that you and others who have knowledge of tbe real Longitude will fill this form and help Asobo
That’s a great idea, yes @TXTAVDan please fill out that form if you can
I’ll look in to it, I got to be careful what I share about the 700 due to my position at Cessna.
Plus I am beyond busy and fishing a lot when not working.
Just telling them what is wrong right now could already be a big start, if they correct it
(Like the auto ground spolier button that should be amber if disarmed instead of blue iirc)
