@eViLoZzy66, you’re getting 50+ fps in Paris?? With “just” a 1080ti?

Maybe that i9 really is worth the price, as I’m running a 10600K paired with a 2070 Super (both overclocked, mind you), and while I do run in VR, I find Paris in general, and CDG airport especially, so bad performance wise that I pretty much avoid the place unless I’m feeling particularly masochistic.

One thing you said that does interest me, and that is that somebody let you pre-order a 3080. You may have to wait a long time, but at least you’re in line that way! I’m kinda over the 3080 now, rather I’ve got my eyes more on a 3080ti, but if I can at least “get in line”, that’s something I’d be very interested in. So do tell, who allows such a thing?

Yes the high fps is at GA airports and it’s always lower at large airports, but never as low as some state, or ever as low as P3D or XP - last night at Charlies airport in France I was getting 40fps with about 10 players there and another 10 flying about. Paris needs to be better optimised for sure, even the spaces between the shiny are terrible because they rely on Bing. The GTX1080ti has been proven(pick any comparison website) to be the same stats as a RTX2070, I also believe in BAREBONES computers for gaming, meaning nothing is left on my pc like 99.99% of the Apps in Windows 10 which I also converted back to Win7 with ‘Start10’ software, this allows much more tweaking control at my fingertips.
The waiting lists in Australia are many, it’s how we actually get stuff in a world that keeps forgetting were here. I went through a computer store that talks directly with ASUS - Rosmans. I just got a text from them this morning to say I’m now in 6th place so will be getting my card in a few months :smiley:

BTW, I can’t get more than 40fps at Heathrow, and only half of London will ‘build’ from Bing (why-oh-why did they go with ‘outdated’ Bing) So I too am suffering with the rest, but never been more confident in a flight simulator to take us into the future.

Edit: I found a way to get the Manual Cache to work for me. Set it to 10GB, then mark an area of ‘10x8’ using 4x Medium tiles, then add High tiles inside of that area (delete the medium tiles when finished as they were used only as area markers). I saved 5 areas to get all of London City, starting at London City Airport, using the Thames as my guide line.
After logging back in to London close to 80% was there! I had to fly over the entire route at different altitudes like before to build and download the rest but it completed in a few hours. Now when I go back, it’s all there, just random building updates etc.
Screen grabs are going to look great now :slight_smile:

Sorry for late reply car is from flightsim.to and it is drivable.

@rozellespi, bro, I swear I’m about to buy you another airplane, and I’m broke-■■■ LOL… I do want to try that one, but I’m still working on the A32NX, the CJ4, and the CRJ so my plate is full for the moment. (He says, and then when some new shiny object comes out, here comes the old debit card…)

If we fly together, I’m gonna have to slip into the F15 to keep up with you! What were you thinking of flying if we did multiplayer?
