I was expecting a little more control over my character creation, more like Elden Ring with sliders to control facial features and a color wheel. I came up with a pretty good representation of myself in Elden Ring, complete with the ring of hair around my mostly bald head, but most of the facial choices in 2024 look like AI altered a few normal faces into a bunch of really bizarre ones. Good thing I have a rear view when walking around in third person. :rofl:

As a fellow bearded brethren, I agree. Right now my pilot looks like he has a femaleā€™s head because he has long hair, no beard and perfect complexion.

Itā€™s not only the colour of my hair that is not represented, but also the amount. I have a very high fronthead that reaches very far under my cap. In Germany we call that ā€œbreiter Scheitelā€. There is only full hair in MSFS 2024!

In the US we refer to it as a ā€˜fiveheadā€™, a play on the idea of it being bigger than a forehead.

No way! Todayā€™s pilots are young, beautiful, well shaved and well trained. Not like us. Sometimes reality is really hard. :person_shrugging:

What color beards? We should have the ability to change hair and beard colors. I can write it up as a bug, because right now you canā€™t. Cā€™mon Asobo, give us beards.

Because it is about feeling safe. I feel much better when Iā€™m sure the person in the cockpit is really me, and not somebody who is pretending he is me. When I know thatā€™s me at the yoke nothing can go wrong!
