PMDG 737 Discussion (PC Version) (Part 1)

Did you notice this awesome stuff here? Flight vector and height map! In the options activate “render water in cyan” (otherwise water will not be rendered) press the TERR button and press the CTR button twice and let the magic begin

This is what I always wanted when flying over the Rocky Mountains or Alps!

I can’t be 100% certain as my memory of the NG is sketchy but on the Classic (3/4/5) I don’t remember the trim needing hydraulic power to run as it’s electric.

@TemperedPaper48 How are you trimming? I haven’t had any issue with it. What I said earlier was wrong btw, I’d forgotten that you can only reach the extremes of the range with manual trim. The range of the electric trim is more limited.

Have a look at page 10 of this document which covers all of it…

Good find. That annoying repetitive noise (like standing on a crisp packet) is now gone. I had no idea there was an “off” position on that gear lever.
I didn’t have to change anything, the mouse worked fine to switch it to “off” position.
Thank you for finding this as this noise was very annoying!

What could be the reason for missing F/O displays? Unable to engage A/P probably due to this

Have you aligned both IRS’?

Ofcourse, why would I leave out one!

Well, you obviously have something incorrectly set, and that’s the logical place to start…

Hi guys

Silly question maybe but how do i open cockpit door so i can view the cabbin ?

Nothing obvious seems to work else I wouldn’t have been asking

Try to be a little less aggressive when people are trying to help you. We have a kind and helpful community here, let’s not ruin that.

My speed brake key assigment is not working for 737.
manual handling is very hard. do you have the same problem?

You can’t. You need the drone cam to move to the cabin

Tried what you said and still can not trim more than 4.05

1)can’t find the original post this relates to - but guess you mean A/T will give a buzzing sound if you try to land with it on? - so you can disable by clicking (twice?) the A/P button on the yoke assume this would be called the A/P disengage or is it some other bind?
2)also anyone know the specific page of the FMC options where you can enable/disable the HUD and also different ground services? (I must have clicked something accidentally as the HUD seems to have appeared!)
3)final questions have the push back helper app - it has ground services buttons but they don’t appear to function on the 737 - assume you need to cycle/request things from somewhere in the FMC?

Hey all - Im the sound guy for the 737 !

Make sure Headphone simulation and Spatial Sound are set to OFF in the MSFS sounds settings. Also have all sound sliders set to 100 (except the last 2 settings in the list). The manual is not correct at this time - we will update it in the next service update.

The inflight wierd sound is a small issue related to the nose gear sound activating unexpectedly - use a keyboard or joystick assignment binded to the MSFS “Landing gear toggle” assignment to raise the gear - that should stop the weird sound.

Congratulations to the beyond epic 737!! The sound of the engines is absolute gorgeous and the trim wheels sound exactly like in the YouTube Mentour Pilot videos

Yes the autopilot button on the yoke must be pressed to silence the eternal woop-woop.
I never bind any buttons on my X52 HOTAS except flaps and gear and brakes and do all cockpit-related stuff with the mouse.

Do your spoilers also move so slowly… I am pressing the right button of the mouse to do it.

For the life of me, can anyone tell me what’s that “Joe the neighbor cutting wood with his chainsaw” sound during cruise and descent while AP is engaged ? Is it the trim wheel??

Ah thats why i couldnt work it out…Shame tho as every other door opens…Thanks for clearing that up for me tho

Do you also get this flickering in the PMDG FD panel?
