[Polls] Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Marketplace Feedback

Still no luck for me either. two weeks now i haven’t been able to buy.
Alt f4 to get out!

I tried one update to a higher version of the flightsim. 4-6 different planes and two airports. Same result on all tests.
From my perspctive every singel player that uses the steam version of the game reports this exakt same problem when asked if they ever tried to purchase anything and this is since the marcetplace opend and there is zero official statement about it!

Just in case any new simmers are reading, there has been a deluge of mscenery aircraft appearing in the marketplace, as well as 2020—2024 updates for deimos planes, be wary of these developers, watch some reviews first, mscenery is generally very low quality and deimos is not for everyone…

I suspect anyone fooled by the ratings won’t be caring to read the forums. Fortunately their solid 1-3 star ratings form MSFS 2020 have stuck through to 2024.

That’s one mixed thing MS did. It’s good in this case. But I’d also like to see ratings for 2024 myself. For example there’s some Flying Iron aircraft rating very well that have serious issues in 2024. No idea how they got approved. I assume there must be others.

Solution for not abel to buy anything in the marcet place from a steam version of MSFS 2024
Hey folks i got a tip from a member of a discord community I joindes some weeks agro and hows name is EnsiFerrum666. He told me to look in the properties of the game in the steam libary and activate the option “Steam overlay”. It seems that the msfs 2020 had the exact same problem and the same solution.
After I activated steam overlay and started the game I was finaly abel to purchase anything I want. As simple as that …

One of the issues that the A350 will have that is slowing it’s release to Xbox marketplace is that there have been 4 updates to it in those 3 weeks. Each update would need to be submitted for testing and approval and so by the time one is ready for release, there’s another version to replace it so it’s off to the back of the queue again

Aprovel by whom. If by Asobo / Microsoft it can´t last longer than 10 sec because alle the planes are overloaded with bugs that a 6 year old can see in under 5 sec.
One simpel exampel. On the Zlyn Ultra Shok there is no needle in the speed indicator. Good luck if you do a banner ad mission.
So I presume that testing and approval is only paying money and nothing else. So I can understand if the producer will not do that over and over again.

Definitely no bug checking going on. Does it load into the sim without breaking the sim? If yes, then figure out why. If not, good to go

That has been documented in the FAQs for ages: How to get rid of the error messages “Purchase pending” and “Purchase failed” on Steam
It’s worth checking them out.

Thank you for the Tip. There are two locations for Steam Overlay
activation one under “steam/settings/in-game” and the other one you
can find if you right click the game icon and under "properties/General there
is another toggle for Steam Overlay which i did not have set. I will try to buy
today and see if that works.

Thank you LorksenSturm

Ignore that and enable them anyway

Bought a scenery in 2024 just to test.
No problems here. Steam version.
Worked just like 2020, add funds, wait 15sec, and scenery was enabled.
As been mentioned: enable steam overlay.

If only somebody who knows this FAQ had posted the link anytime in the last two weeks since so many people were asking for info about the problem.
But thanks for posting it now that we found a solution. Just saying…

What happened to all those thousands of add-ons already ported to MSFS 2024? Is it not possible to just dump the whole 2020 catalog into the 2024 marketplace in one go? According to the latest developer update, some 110+ add-ons have been released in the new marketplace, but there are thousands that are allegedly compatible. At this rate it would take a year for the 2024 marketplace to catch up to the 2020 one, and that’s not counting the content that will be submitted in the meantime. Not to mention all the updates for already existing products.

Am I missing something or how will this go in FS24 after all?

If they did that, and you tried some of them out and found they didn’t work correctly, would you complain? If you answered yes, there is your answer.

You mean like the majority of the default MSFS2024 aircraft together with LLs & FFs?

Am I missing something or is there no “New” category in the Marketplace?

How do you see what is new without having to look at the Thursday blog post?

I would guess that at this point, everything is new.

One hopes they’ll add it in though.

I know this was probably a bad idea, but it’s the unreal state of play that is Msfs2024 that drove me to try.
I spent a few hours this morning downloading msfs2020 so I could purchase the top mach t7 and the azurepoly jaguar, and use them in Msfs2024.
Once 2020 was installed it refused to start.
Par for the course.
Eventually I found it was a bug related to some dll file related to the nvidia app.
Start the sim, buy both planes, almost a full $100aud.
Now I boot into 2024, and I get a notification that content from 2020 has been added to my catalogue.
A little squeel of excitement.
No sign of the jaguar, and the t7 says not available.

It’s like being in an abusive relationship. I’m so over Asobo whispering sweet promises, with one hand in my pocket, but delivering a pale version of what they described.
Four months in and the sim is a mess, the marketplace is a joke, and it really doesn’t feel like they’re in a rush.
And there’s nothing we can do, try and stay positive, vent in the forums, and because every once in a while the servers work as designed, the game runs well and we get to live out our dreams of wings, that’s why it’s abusive, tears of joy and tears of pain.

The famous flyers aren’t available yet on the marketplace? I thought they were in the aviator edition, so presumably they are available in MSFS 2024.

The marketplace is horrendous to use on Xbox, it is slow and clunky, horrible to browse, poorly organised. All round a bad experience to use.
