I just started the Sim (first time after SU2 release) but no word of any update. I had to verify the version number in the Windows caption bar, that was the only proof of a new version. Shouldn’t I get some message or notification saying Welcome to SU2 or something similar?? If I didn’t know that SU2 was released (thanks to the forum), I would never have known.
Same thing for the A350, in the marked place it says that it was updated May 13 but no notification whatsoever about it. Also the version number still seems to be the old one. I’m a bit confused by the lack of notifications about updated addons including the base sim itself.
I think the bug might be playing a part here. How much though, that’s the question.
My PC is in between Recommended and Ideal specs based on that pre-release chart. With 10GB VRAM, I feel like I should be able to comfortably run Med/High settings. 10GB splits the difference between the Recommeded 8GB and Ideal 12GB.
I’m still tempted by the 9070XT though, I won’t lie.
There’s still inappropriate planes at jetway gates…ridiculous. Also, still at lowest traffic settings, at small airports, GA static traffic fills up ALL available parking spaces; not realistic.

A tip for everyone is to check if Wake Turbulence has been turned ON.
It was a bit hvy on performance on the beta, guess its still the same, so suggest to turn it OFF and see if it helps performance…
I’m overall pleased with SU2, however, I just had my first CTD, 3-4 flights in SU2 with no issues before this CTD. GA aircraft landing at KTEB, no traffic in site when CTD occurred. ODD!
Settings all on high, TLOD 125, LOD 125, texture resolution HIGH, TAA, AMD FSR, exposure comp -.5, AMD 7800X3D, AMD 7800 GPU, 32GB’s ram. I have no issues with VRAM as in SU1 and first day of sim launch. FPS has increased significantly for me, screens still have a washout look. I hope this current CTD was a fluke.
The ATC module scrolls now but I have noticed it does not update, for instance you notify ATC to taxi, you taxi to the holding point and attempt to contact tower but the options in ATC still say taxi, taxi to parking, ground services. It’s happened on all 5 flights I have in SU2 to date.
Update screwed up the flight planner…Doesn’t show the route on the map, doesn’t allow the weather to be displayed for departure and arrival so no way to know which runway to use, etc etc, bring back the flight planner as before, the addition of performance calculation has borked the whole program.

get to the fire and put it out but then soon as I do that my engine just suddenly blows out.

There were so many SU2 updates I actually forget when I noticed it, I don’t always fly out of Edinburgh. I wonder how the POIs got disabled? It wasn’t by me. Weird. This is how they looked for me last night. I even took this screen grab then before i saw your post. I’ll try re-enabling them. Worrying that stuff is getting disabled “behind the scenes”, that is the trouble with this streaming. Maybe it’ll be “fixed in SU3”, just about to delve in.

Neither FSX nor FS2020 ever ran so smoothly. 100 fps on 4070 12GB without any stuttering. Mixture between HIGH and ULTRA. Perfect.

No of missions counted for a TBM in the entire world. Despite the fact that it is listed as having a range of 1,730 Nm, it is only allowed to fly 45 minutes or less missions???

You get my point! Why are we allowed to buy these planes for certain missions and in the entire world you can only fly 26 VIP for Corvalis and 55 for the TBM. I am certain if I went through each aircraft model there would be many, many craft that had very few missions.
This does not seem to apply to Sight Seeing though - thousands of those!
Guys, i reported here, that i have extreme FPS drops. Well i did not change any settings, everything is maxed out. But what i did after the update, i touched the files with DLSS swapper. That was causing extreme FPS drops with Frame Gen. I did start the repair mode and steam updated those files as Asobo delivered with the SU2 update.
See image, those are the default files from Asobo. Try it and see if it works. I get now in Basle 100 FPS and smooth as butter. But i am going now to test more to see, if that is true what i wrote here.
Does it work for you guys?

Has anyone noticed that the PRICE of planes has gone UP for VIP company.
TBM now Cr 1,800,000.
Vision Jet now 1,100,000
PC-12 now 8,165,000
PC-24 now 9,200,000
AND - get this CJ4 now 34,000,000

Anyone get very grainy textures and weird flickering while using TAA? I switched to DLSS and things seem more clear and less grainy?

Before SU2 things were very clear and looked great.. now very cartoony unless I’m up close but when I switched to DLSS it seemed it was fine again? Haven’t much time to test this but was curious if anyone experienced this too… overall update is great and excited to fly this weekend
I have extrem FPS drops, from stable 55-60fps before to 20-24fps now no changes to my system, same plane as before (C404). Also a 100% micro stutters rate and a fluctuating GPU usage rate from 0% to 100%…
Definitely something wrong I can’t figure out tight now, so I don’t see an upgrade, but a downgrade.
Oh, you still can’t see anything on some Garmins at night, still to bright
Multiplayer model matching isn’t working for me in SU2. How is it for you? It worked pretty well in SU1 and even before, but now I only see my friend’s plane if we’re both flying the same one. I don’t see any planes from the Community folder, nor do I see standard planes like the Vision Jet. Do I have the wrong settings?
