Didnt load a flight , but download is fast this time, compared with earlier updates. 10.5 Gb in 10 minutes and the mandatory update in less then 5 minutes is ok for me
Iāve had a quick drone camera flight around EGPH, the recent Pyreegue offering, and all seems well.
I wasnāt in such a rush to do the same for their EGNX, as the Midlands appears to have been largely missed out. Apart from maybe Chatsworth House and something around the Ouse.
Are you sure? I reckon you got the mandatory download at first boot, then you downloaded the content manager update which was for the first UK update. Have you been into the store to purchase the free UK 2 update and also download that?
So the first 4.5gb or so downloaded fine but now my download speed has crawled down to 0.08mb. been like that for over half an hour. What now? Do I quit and relaunch the game?
Just about have it installed. Seems its averaging just over 50 mbit. While I realize thatās better than some are getting, Steam is able to feed me games at 600 so this is still frustratingly slow Not that far different from what I normally get with MSFS though.
What ??? I have to download a free purchase ? What the hell is this madnessā¦ If itās advertised as a mandatory update AND a bunch of downloads are instigated why the hell would I have to go to a store to fake buy the thing ? Thats my problem obviously, will report back. Thanks for that advice FOundHaddock !
Itās not mandatory. Itās an optional DLC, like all the other World and City Updates.
Is there anywhere full list of POIs?

Thank you so much!
I canāt remember exactly what I saw, but I got the prompt for it at MSFS startup as a mandatory āStandardā update (maybe a Cancel button was there but it seemed to me like a base update - 1.37.19 I think) so I updated. TO add insult to injury the āVersion [V]ā description was just ā3rd party stuff can break your system blah blahā as opposed to āIreland and UK TIN upgradeā.
Then I noticed that the Content Manager had something and it of course was World Update UK and Ireland - so I downloaded it and thought that was that.
But now Iām told (and I totally understand that this is no ones fault except the ridiculous complexity of Microsoftās download system) that I have to download a THIRD item to actually get it installed ?
- Base game update
- Content manager World Update (shouldnāt this be the end ?)
- Free purchase in the Store (what was the update in the content manager ?)
This doesnāt make any senseā¦
Well, if itās any comfort, itās been like that for about four years now
See my comments elsewhere. There was an unrelated 636MB update to AI Traffic and Generic Airports that for me - came AFTER I had successfully installed WU17 (todayās release) + Refreshed Items from the first UK World Update. Those two sim core-code files did not trigger until after I flew a WU17 Test Flight and shut the sim down. The order and sequence may vary for users across the board.
London ist beyond amazing and my frame rate has significantly improved also. Looking forward to testing anything else. This is a great promise towards the upcoming MSFS 2024. Thank you!
Does anyone have British Isles mesh installed alongside WU17?
Reasons for my question is that the release notes for WU17 have new elevation data. Would this clash? Or do you think this would be Ok?
I have it uninstalled for the time being until someone could update me on this.
Many thanks.
I noticed that too is the tide out ??
Curious about this as well
Thank you, Asobo. Iām really pleased with the results. So far, took a brief flight over London. Looks splendid! Great job, please do Paris next, please oh pretty please
Think Iām going to leave British Isles mesh uninstalled. My instinct tells me it will possibly cause a few issues.
Maybe Orbx will release an update to go alongside. And possibly improve the mesh/elevation data more in the near future.
Barra got a 170mb update.
Canāt tell whatās changed other than the parking spot now being on a ridiculous downward slope.
I assume itās changed as I donāt remember that before.
