+1 for the Warthog. It’s a very solid piece of kit, hence the price tag. It comes as two separate (and very heavy) units. Seriously, the throttle unit is super heavy and I don’t just think it’s because they’ve put a weight in the box. Construction is either solid metal or heavy plastic. Nothing crummy about the build.
It’s a direct model from the real life A-10 controls and it’s pretty darn close, looking at pictures. The stick has a detachable handle and they do sell at least one additional handle modelled on a different aircraft (in fact, two - F16 and F/A-18). I’ve also seen people mod it by putting an extension pole between the base and handle to use as a center stick - in fact I think someone sells an extension for that purpose.
The stick has a super-tight spring, I got arm fatigue from it quickly, but apparently that’s true to life and if you prefer your stick a bit more floppy (I did) you can remove the spring and either replace it with a less stiff one or go without altogether - the stick will still center itself without it.
It’s in a whole different league from their T.Flight and TCA stuff - it’s in the same league as the T-Pendular rudder, which is the best rudder I’ve ever used.
