Stunning work as always! With your attention to detail, your repaints really transform an aircraft.
Thank you, Stearman, for your very kind words! I love those shots of the Zero and P-47. It would be neat to see something like that in reality, perhaps arranged at Oshkosh, with the restored P-47D ‘Bonnie’ and maybe the Military Aviation Museum’s newly-restored A6M3, Timmermans Legends of Flight’s A6M2, or Fagen Fighters’ A6M3.
Thank you! I agree that would be an awesome formation. Last I heard, MAM didn’t plan to bring their Zero this year, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they brought it next year. On the last pictures I’ve seen of Timmermans Zero, they were working on the landing gear/ had the gear legs removed, so I wouldn’t expect to see it this year either. But I think sooner or later that formation will happen, either at Oshkosh or at Granite Falls, if the Dakota Territory Museum attends with Bonnie. Btw, another formation I would love to see would be Bonnie and Dottie Mae, my two favorite Thunderbolts.
But even without this formation, I think this year’s Oshkosh could be one of the most diverse, when it comes to warbirds, in years! I can’t wait to see high quality shots of Butch Schroeders P-40K, Midwest Aeros latest P-51 or FHCAM’s P-38.
